Application of the City Council of the City of Pleasanton to consider <br /> extension of the provisions of Ordinance No. 672, placing propert~ <br /> included i~"""T'enta~ive Tract Map 3311 (adj'acent on the eaS~ the V.C.S.D. <br /> Sewage Treatment Plant) in an S (Study) District for '60' days in order <br /> to allow completion of land use studies with respect thereto <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid declared the public hearing on these two matters open. <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar explained that additional time was needed in order to <br /> prepare the Environmental Impact Statements regarding these items. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Pearson and seconded by Councilman <br /> Mori, that the public hearing be closed: <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilman tlerlihy <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Pearson, and seconded by Councilman <br /> Kinney, that Ordinance No. 684, approving the application of the City <br /> Council of the City of Pleasanton to consider extension of the provisions <br /> of Ordinance No. 678, placing property included in Final Tract Map 3312 <br /> (adjacent on the east the V.C.S.D. Sewage Treatment Plant) in an S <br /> (Study) District for 60 days in order to allow completion of land use <br /> studies with respect thereto, and application of the City Council of <br /> the City of Pleasanton to consider extention of the provisions of <br /> Ordinance No. 672, placing property included in Tentative Tract Map <br /> 3311 (adjacent on the east the V.C.S.D. Sewage Treatment Plant) in an <br /> S (Study) District for 60 days in order to allow completion of land <br /> use studies with respect thereto, be adopted on an urgency basis. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilman Nerlihy <br /> <br /> MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> There were no matters continued for decision at this meeting. <br /> <br /> SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> There were no Special Reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> Reports of the community concerns committee, Re: (1) Proposed B~-Laws, <br /> (2) Social Service Needs of Low Income Pleasanton Resident's, (3) Solid <br />waste Disposal <br /> Mr. Will'iam tlogan, Chairman, Community Concerns Committee, stated <br />that as a result of the recent study session between the City Council <br />and the Community Concerns Committee, the following reports were pre- <br />sented. <br />1. Proposed By-Laws <br /> With re~ard to the Proposed By-Laws, Mr. Hogan stated the committee <br />was concerned regarding their mode of operation. They suggested three <br />fundamental changes as follows: <br /> a. Change from Committee to Commission,in order that the group <br /> may institute actions rather than respond to instruction and, <br /> therefore, enable it to mediate more effectively. <br /> <br /> b. Change the number of members on the Commission from nine to <br /> eleven, with a representative from the youth age group, (16-21 <br /> years old), and a representative from the Senior Citizen age <br /> group (over 65 years old ), in order to get the views from <br /> these age groups. <br /> <br /> -2- 11/13/72 <br /> <br /> <br />
