He stated it was the policy of the Po]~ce Department to be tolerant. <br /> Action will be taken only after excessive complaints, excessive number of people <br /> at one party, or where alcoholic beverages or narcotics are used. <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar presented a letter from Mr~ Paul Ryan, General Manager of Valley <br /> Community Services District, requesting the City's position in regard to the <br /> Projected Impact of Annexation of Camp Parks to Valley Community Services Dis- <br /> trict. The Council instructed Mr. Edgar to ~ransmlt =heir comments as feeling <br /> the Camp Parks area should be pre-planned prior to its annexation by any public <br /> agency. <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> Report Re: SB-1118 <br /> Mr. Hirst requested City Council support of SB-11.18, Subdivision Map Act <br /> Revision, which clarifies legislation in regard to public hearing requirements <br /> and broadens the Appeals procedure. <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seco~mded by Councilman Herlihy, that <br /> the City Council support SB-1118, Subdivision Map Act Revl. sion. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> COMMUNICATIONS <br /> Letter from Lars B. Jotten~ Re: Commuter Service <br /> Mr. Edgar presented a letter from Mr. Lars B~ Jotten regarding commuter <br /> service. <br /> Discussion ensued regarding commuter bus servlce~ Franciscan Lines has an <br />application now before the P.U.C., which Greyhound Bus Lines is opposing, ~T <br />expects to have comuter service to the Valley by Spring, 1973. <br /> It was moved by Councilman Pearson, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that <br />the City Council go on record as supporting some kind of conmuter bus service <br />to the Valley. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayer Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilman Kinney stated that the Community Concerns Committee had changed <br />their by-laws somewhat, and would be presenting them to the Council soon. <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> Councilman Herlihy requested that the matter oi' financial institutions ill <br />the downtown area be added to the agenda of the jofn~ study session with the <br />Planning Commission on September 27, 1972o He was informed this was already <br />on the agenda. <br /> <br /> Councilman Pearson requested information about how the Interchange at TaS~- <br />jara and Highway 580, was built. <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid withdrew his endozsement of Pz!oposition 20, the coastline initia- <br />tive, stating he wanted more time to review it.
