MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> Pleasanton, California <br /> July 24, 1972 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO FLAG <br /> Mayor Robert Reid called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 P.M., <br /> and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as Eollows: <br />Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid were present~ Mzo Edgar, City <br />Manager, Mr, Hirst, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Director of Public Works, and Mr. Castro, <br />Director of Community Development, were present. Helen McCarty, City Clerk, was absent6 <br /> <br />AGENDAAMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Edgar requested the removal of Item 4c from the Consent Calendar. <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar also requested the addition of approval of a standard agreement with HUD for <br /> $30,000~00, Open Space Grant. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilman Herlihy and seconded by Councilman Mori that the following <br /> items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved: <br /> <br />a. Adoption of Resolution No. 72-127, approving final progress payment, in the amount <br /> of $1,193.41, to Three D IConstruction Co., Inc., for work completed on Amador Valley <br /> Community Park, Phase III. <br /> <br />b. Adoption of Resolution No. 72-128, approving permit for Alameda County Flood Control <br /> to place fill material on 105 acre park site. <br /> <br />c. Adoption of Resolution No. 72-129, approving a standard agreement with HUD, in the <br /> amount of $30,000.00, Open Space Grant. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Approval of Temporary Water Service Agreement <br /> Mr. Edgar elaborated upon the staff report regarding this matter. Discussion ensued <br />as to whether the City is obligated to provide water services outside the City Limits. <br />The six properties in question are in the Pleasanton Ridge area and are currently par- <br />ticipating in the assessment districts for water service in the area. <br /> It was moved by Councilman Herlihy and seconded by Councilman Kinney that the <br />Temporary Water Service Agreement be approved, by Resolution No. 72-130o <br /> <br />The ~oll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />?UBLIC HEARINGS <br />~cation of the Planning Commission to consider the area designated as Study Area A <br />for removal from the Study District <br /> Mayor Reid declared the public hearing open. <br /> M~ Edgar presented the staff report regarding this matter. Mr. Castro elaborated upon <br />the report. <br /> It was moved by Councilman Herlihy and seconded by Councilman Kinney that the public <br />hearing be closed. <br /> <br /> <br />
