Councilman Re~d requested that on Page 126 of the Budget under Sewer Improvement, <br /> Item I be moved to Item 6, and that any modifications to the facility of a Capital <br /> Improvement nature shall be first reviewed and approved by the City Council prior <br /> to the issuance of the required purchase order° <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Mori, and seconded by Councilman Reid, that Resolu- <br /> tion Noo 73-99, approving the 1973-74 Budget with the following amendments: <br /> <br /> ao $.05 of the $1o63 tax rate shall be earmarked for field maintenance <br /> and shall be in addition to the Maintenance Reserve already included <br /> in the Budget, The City Manager is instructed to prepare a detailed <br /> program as to how the total reserve will be used and report back to <br /> the City Council at an early date; <br /> <br /> in addition to the Capital Improvement projects set forth in the <br /> Budget, $30,000°00 shall be allocated from the revenues from the <br /> Bedroom Tax to the completion of Century Park; <br /> <br /> c. In addition to the Capital Improvement projects set forth in the <br /> Budget, $30,000.00 shall be allocated from the revenues from the <br /> Park Dedication Fund to the construction of Woodthrush Park; <br /> <br /> d~ A work program, timetable, and cost estimate for the construction <br /> o£ a bicycle pathway system along Hopyard Road, Santa Rita Road, <br /> and First Street-Sunol Boulevard shall be presented to the City <br /> Council at an early date; <br /> <br /> e~ Any mudification to the Sunol Boulevard Sewage Treatment facility <br /> of a Capital Improvement nature shall be first reviewed and approved <br /> by the City Council prior to the issuance of the required purchase <br /> order; and <br /> <br /> that the "Missions Statement" included in the Budget Message be approved as the <br /> overall goal for the City during 1973-74; and <br /> <br />that the various program goals and objectives which are included in the Budget <br />be generally approved and the City Manager is hereby instructed to refine these <br />objectives with an eye to quantifying them and making them more specific during <br />the 1973-74 Fiscal Year; and <br /> <br />that the City Council, pending final receipt of the assessment figures from the <br />County Assessor, indicates its intention to levy a tax rate of $1.63 per $100.00 <br />of Assessed Valuation during the 1973-74 Fiscal Year, <br /> <br />be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilman Herlihy left the meeting at 10:35 P.M. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Mro Rich Buckley, 4317 Claremont Way, Livermore, addressed the City Council <br />regarding the Metropolitan Transportation Commission public hearing to be held on <br />June 14, 1973~ and urged Council support of the widening of Freeway 580 between <br />Dublin and Haywa~d by letters to Congressman Stark and M.T.C.
