MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> Councilman Reid requested that the staff prepare a report of the status of the <br />mandated elements of the General Plan that are required to be filed prior to June <br />30, 1973. <br /> <br /> Councilman Reid requested a study session be scheduled with the Planning Com- <br />mission to review the emphasis on the Central Business District and perhaps con- <br />sider an Overlay Zone in the Central Business District. He stated his concern <br />involved around the need to insure uniformity and compatibility of development in <br />the downtown area. A brief discussion then ensued with the staff regarding the <br />status of certain projects which were to be considered by the Planning Commission <br />and the provision of the City's present design review ordinance. <br /> <br /> Councilman Reid stated that Memorial Services for Assemblyman Robert Crown <br />would be held at 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 22nd, in Alameda. <br /> <br /> Councilman Kinney requested the definition of a Class 2 Dump and a Class 3 <br />Dump. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Mayor Pearson recessed the meeting to an Executive Session at 10:40 P.M. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pearson reconvened the meeting at 11:28 P.M. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business at 11:30 P.M., it was moved by Councilman Mori, <br />and seconded by Councilman Herlihy~ that the meeting be adjourned to meet again at <br />an Adjourned Regular Meeting at 7:00 P.M., on May 30, 1973, and the next Regular <br />Meeting to be held at 8:00 P.M., on June 4, 1973. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br /> <br />WILLIAM H.
