MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> May 7, 1973 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Robert Pearson called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br /> 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows; <br />Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson were present. Mr. Edgar, <br />City Manager, Mr. Scheidig, City Attorney, and Mro Campbell, Director of Public <br />Works, were present~ <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilman Mori, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that the <br /> following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved: <br /> <br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for April 23, 1973. <br /> <br />bo Adoption of Ordinance No. 696, amending Section 2-7.08, of Article 8, Chapter <br /> 2, Title II, of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />c. Adoption of Ordinance No. 697, implementing Joint Powers Agreement for Con- <br /> solidated Bargaining for the Fire Service. <br /> <br />d. Adoption of Resolution No. 73-75, approving partial acceptance of Public Im- <br /> provements, Tract 3147, Arroyo del Prado, Unit 9. <br /> <br />e. Adoption of Resolution No. 73-76, approving the change of street name from <br /> Adams Court to Adams Way. <br /> <br />f. Adoption of Resolution No. 73-77, approving progress payment No. 9, to Pre- <br /> comp Tanks, Inc., for construction on Bonde Reservoir, Project 72-4, in the <br /> amount of $8,144.79. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Hearin~ of Objections by property owners to the proposed removal and abatement of <br />nuisance caused by noxious or dangerous weeds groKin~ upon or in front of property <br />owned by them in the City of Pleasanton <br /> Mayor Pearson declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar presented the staff report regarding this matter which is the annual <br />abatement program to rid the City of weeds. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pearson asked for any objections from property owners to the proposed <br />removal and abatement of weeds. There were no objections. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Mori, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that the <br />public hearing be closed. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> <br />
