Councilman Mori reported that he and Mr. Edgar artended a meeting with the <br /> staff of ~he State Water Board and State Air Resources Board in which the criteria <br /> for Federal and State assistance was discussed. He went on to say that because of <br /> the designation o~ =he Valley as an "Air Impact Area" Federal and State funds for <br /> the next phase of ~he V.C~S~D~ Sewage Treatment Plant expansion will be limited <br /> to simply paying for ~he phase out of the Pleasanton Sewage Treatment Plant on <br /> Sunol Blvd. <br /> <br /> Mr~ Edga~ ~evie~ed ~he current status of the V.C.S.Do Plant expansion and <br /> explained tha~ ~here was still some questions which had to be answered before <br /> specific projections regarding sewage treatment plant capacity could be answered. <br /> He went on to say tha~ the staff was currently working on this matter and would <br /> have further information lauer on. <br /> <br /> ~LATTERS INITiAlrED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> Mayor Reid proclaimed April 8-14, 1973, as National Action for Foster Children <br /> Week, as requssted by ~JACKIE. <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid read an invitation from the Livermore Jaycees, inviting the Council- <br /> men to participate in their Rodeo Parade on June 9, 1973. <br /> <br /> Councilman Mori expressed concern regarding homeowners not being informed by <br /> developers and real estate salesmen regarding City plans when they move into the <br /> area. Mrs= Edgar indicated that a map and borchures have been prepared and that the <br /> staff was in ~he process of seeking ways to require homeowners to read and sign off <br /> these documents~ <br /> <br /> MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> No one addressed the Chair. <br /> <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Mayor Reid recessed the meeting to an Executive Session at 10:30 P.M. <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid reconvened the meeting at 10:35 P.M. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Mori, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that <br /> Resolution No. 73~51, authorizing the City Attorney to file suit against Dr. Leon <br /> Meier, 1672 Calle Santiago, in Del Prado, for violations of the City's Zoning <br /> Ordinance, be adepted~. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson, and Mayor Reid <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Pearson, that <br /> Resolution No! 73-52, formally appointing Ken Scheidig as City Attorney in accord- <br /> ance with his letter filed with the City Council, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson, and Mayor Reid <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business at 10:36 P.M., it was moved by Councilman Mori, <br /> and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that the meeting be adjourned to meet again in <br /> Regular Session at 8:00 P.M., on April 2, 1973. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />-- AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson, and Mayor Reid <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Respectfully Sub~i~ted, <br /> <br /> 6. 3/26/73 <br /> <br /> <br />
