Councilman Mori reported that he and Mr. Edgar artended a meeting with the staff of ~he State Water Board and State Air Resources Board in which the criteria for Federal and State assistance was discussed. He went on to say that because of the designation o~ =he Valley as an "Air Impact Area" Federal and State funds for the next phase of ~he V.C~S~D~ Sewage Treatment Plant expansion will be limited to simply paying for ~he phase out of the Pleasanton Sewage Treatment Plant on Sunol Blvd. Mr~ Edga~ ~evie~ed ~he current status of the V.C.S.Do Plant expansion and explained tha~ ~here was still some questions which had to be answered before specific projections regarding sewage treatment plant capacity could be answered. He went on to say tha~ the staff was currently working on this matter and would have further information lauer on. ~LATTERS INITiAlrED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS Mayor Reid proclaimed April 8-14, 1973, as National Action for Foster Children Week, as requssted by ~JACKIE. Mayor Reid read an invitation from the Livermore Jaycees, inviting the Council- men to participate in their Rodeo Parade on June 9, 1973. Councilman Mori expressed concern regarding homeowners not being informed by developers and real estate salesmen regarding City plans when they move into the area. Mrs= Edgar indicated that a map and borchures have been prepared and that the staff was in ~he process of seeking ways to require homeowners to read and sign off these documents~ MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC No one addressed the Chair. EXECUTIVE SESSION Mayor Reid recessed the meeting to an Executive Session at 10:30 P.M. Mayor Reid reconvened the meeting at 10:35 P.M. It was moved by Councilman Mori, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that Resolution No. 73~51, authorizing the City Attorney to file suit against Dr. Leon Meier, 1672 Calle Santiago, in Del Prado, for violations of the City's Zoning Ordinance, be adepted~. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson, and Mayor Reid NOES: None ABSENT: None It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Pearson, that Resolution No! 73-52, formally appointing Ken Scheidig as City Attorney in accord- ance with his letter filed with the City Council, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson, and Mayor Reid NOES: None ABSENT: None ADJOURNMENT There being no further business at 10:36 P.M., it was moved by Councilman Mori, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that the meeting be adjourned to meet again in Regular Session at 8:00 P.M., on April 2, 1973.
