MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> February 26, 1973 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Robert Reid called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council to <br />order at 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmen Herlihy, Mori, Pearson, and Mayor Reid were present. Councilman Kinney <br />was absent. Mr. Edgar, City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, <br />Director of Public Works, and Mr. Castro, Director of Community Development, were <br />present. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Edgar requested that an item be included under Special Reports (Item 7e), <br />report of the Administrative Committee regarding Fire Manpower Study. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilman Pearson and seconded by Councilman Mori that the <br />following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved: <br /> <br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for February 20, 1973. <br /> <br />b. Waive reading of Ordinance No. 691, an ordinance amending Chapter 2, Title II, <br /> of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton and addition thereto of Article <br /> 15.5 providing for a Historical Landmark Overlay Zoning District. <br /> <br />c. Adoption of Ordinance No. 691. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlthy, Mori, Pearson, and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kinney <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Revocate the Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity held by Florian R. <br />Weissman for the purpose of conductins a Taxi business in the. ~ty of Pleasanton <br /> Mayor Reid declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker presented the staff report regarding this matter stating that since <br />Mr. Weissman had discontinued operating the Pleasanton Cab Company, there is no <br />reason to keep the Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity valid. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Mori, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that the <br />public hearing be closed. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Mori, Pearson, and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kinney <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Councilman Mori, that <br />Resolution No. 73-28, revoking the Certificate of Public Convenience and Neces- <br />sity held by Florian R. Wuissman for the purpose of conducting a taxi business <br />in the City of Pleasanton, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Mori, Pearson, and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kinney <br /> <br /> <br />
