Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mr. Edgar presented the following items for the information of the Council: <br /> <br />1. Report from the Secretary, Park and Recreation Commission, dated 2-1-73, <br /> regarding Commending Volunteer Drivers of the Senior Citizen Mini-Bus. <br />2o Community Concerns Committee agenda. <br />3. Raport from the Community Concerns Committee, Re: Growth Rate. <br /> Zone 7 Minutes~ <br />5. Conversation with Doug Nelson, V.C.S.D., stating that increased connection <br /> fees allowed for additional odor control features to be added to the Plant. <br />6, Invitation from Golden Acorn Branch of the Childtens Home Society to attend <br /> Spring Luncheon and Fashion Show on March 28, 1973. <br />7. Copy of announcement from ABAG stating that Revan Tranter is the new ABAG <br /> Executive Director. <br />8. Letter from Associated Home Builders of the Greater Eastbay, Inc., dated <br /> 2-13-73, regarding housing element. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> There were no reports of the City Attorney presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS · <br /> There were no Communications presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Mayor Reid stated that the League of California Cities has embarked on a pro- <br />gram of action reports to develop position papers that will result in League policy <br />at the State level. Mayor Reid further stated that the Regional Government Com- <br />mittee, of which he is Chairman, held their first meeting last week, and hope to <br />have a preliminary draft of a report for review by May. <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> Councilman Kinney requested that a letter be sent to Major Albert Carlson, <br />Pleasanton Prisoner of War, to welcome him home, and that any activities in his <br />honor be coordinated through Bob Steffenauer, V.F.W. The Council concurred. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Mr. Robert Foster, 6028 Sequoia Court, representing Valley Trails Homeowners <br />Assn., stated the concern of the residents regarding a traffic signal at Hopyard <br />Road where it is to be widened at the Pleasanton Canal. <br /> <br /> Councilman Herlihy stated this matter, among others, was under consideration <br />by the Traffic Safety Committee at this time. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Councilman Kinney recessed the meeting to an Executive Session at 10:15 P.M. <br /> <br /> Councilman Kinney reconvened the meeting at 10:30 P.M. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business at 10:35 P.M., it was moved by Councilman <br />Herlihy, and seconded by Councilman Pearson, that the meeting be adjourned to <br />meet again in Adjourned Regular Session at 8:00 P.M., on February 26, 1973. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Pearson, and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Mori <br /> <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br /> <br />WILLIAM H.
