MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> January 1.5, 1973 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Robert Reid called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br /> 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which was recorded as follows: <br />Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson, and Mayor Reid were present. Mr. Edgar, <br />City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Director of Public Works, and <br />Mr. Castro, Director of Community Development, were present. <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilman Mori and seconded by Councilman Herlihy that the <br /> following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved: <br /> <br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for January 8, 1973. <br /> <br />b. Approval of Claims for the month of December, 1972, in the amount of <br /> $396,668.05. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson, and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mr. Harold Burnham, 2216 Segundo Court #2, President of Laguna Vista Estates <br />Homeowners Assn., introduced members of the Board of Directors of Laguna Vista <br />Estates Homeowners Assn., as follows: 1st Vice-President - Sheldeen Jerome; 2nd <br />Vice-President - Emil T. Nelson; Secretary - Elizabeth Ferrier; and Treasurer - <br />Peter Borris. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Application of the Plannin~ Commission to consider the Environmental Impact State- <br />ment and to rezone from the R-1-6500 (Single FamilF) District and the A (A~ricul- <br />rural) District~ those properties or parcels identified as follows: Tract #3311 <br />from the R-1-6500 (.Single Family Residential) District to the C-S (Commercial <br />Service)~ P (Public and Institutional).~ and I-P (Industrial Park) District~ or <br />such other land use as deemed acceptable to the Planning Commission~ and Tract <br />#3312 from the R-1-6500 (Single Family Residential) District to the P (Public and <br />Institutional) District or such other land use as deemed acceptable to the Plan- <br />nin~ Commission~ and Parcel #941-1302-2-19 from the A (Agricultural) District to <br />the C-S (Commercial Service) District.~ P (Public and Institutional) District~ and <br />I-P (Planned Industrial) District~ or such other land use as deemed acceptable to <br />the Plannin~ Commissi0n~.' and said parcel containin~ more or less 1.3.85 acres~ said <br />tracts or parcel of land generally located on the Val Vista Development (Sin~er <br />~ousing Company)~ fronting on Stoneridge Drive~ Holland Drive and Denker Drive~ <br />Pleasanton <br /> Mayor Reid declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar suggested the City Council first discuss this matter in Executive <br />Session prior to proceeding with the hearing. <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid recessed the meeting to an Executive Session at 8:05 P.M. <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid reconvened the meeting at 8:15 P.M. <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid stated that this is not the official public hearing but a time to <br />hear testimony of property owners as well as the developers on this particular <br />question. <br /> <br /> <br />
