MINUTES of THE MEETING of THE CITY COUNCIL January 1.5, 1973 CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG Mayor Robert Reid called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. ROLL CALL Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which was recorded as follows: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson, and Mayor Reid were present. Mr. Edgar, City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Director of Public Works, and Mr. Castro, Director of Community Development, were present. CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Councilman Mori and seconded by Councilman Herlihy that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved: a. Approval of City Council Minutes for January 8, 1973. b. Approval of Claims for the month of December, 1972, in the amount of $396,668.05. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson, and Mayor Reid NOES: None ABSENT: None Mr. Harold Burnham, 2216 Segundo Court #2, President of Laguna Vista Estates Homeowners Assn., introduced members of the Board of Directors of Laguna Vista Estates Homeowners Assn., as follows: 1st Vice-President - Sheldeen Jerome; 2nd Vice-President - Emil T. Nelson; Secretary - Elizabeth Ferrier; and Treasurer - Peter Borris. PUBLIC HEARINGS Application of the Plannin~ Commission to consider the Environmental Impact State- ment and to rezone from the R-1-6500 (Single FamilF) District and the A (A~ricul- rural) District~ those properties or parcels identified as follows: Tract #3311 from the R-1-6500 (.Single Family Residential) District to the C-S (Commercial Service)~ P (Public and Institutional).~ and I-P (Industrial Park) District~ or such other land use as deemed acceptable to the Planning Commission~ and Tract #3312 from the R-1-6500 (Single Family Residential) District to the P (Public and Institutional) District or such other land use as deemed acceptable to the Plan- nin~ Commission~ and Parcel #941-1302-2-19 from the A (Agricultural) District to the C-S (Commercial Service) District.~ P (Public and Institutional) District~ and I-P (Planned Industrial) District~ or such other land use as deemed acceptable to the Plannin~ Commissi0n~.' and said parcel containin~ more or less 1.3.85 acres~ said tracts or parcel of land generally located on the Val Vista Development (Sin~er ~ousing Company)~ fronting on Stoneridge Drive~ Holland Drive and Denker Drive~ Pleasanton Mayor Reid declared the public hearing open. Mr. Edgar suggested the City Council first discuss this matter in Executive Session prior to proceeding with the hearing. Mayor Reid recessed the meeting to an Executive Session at 8:05 P.M. Mayor Reid reconvened the meeting at 8:15 P.M. Mayor Reid stated that this is not the official public hearing but a time to hear testimony of property owners as well as the developers on this particular question.
