<br />MINUTES <br />of <br />THE MEETING <br />of <br />THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />January 8, 1973 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br />Mayor Robert Reid called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the <br />City Council to order at 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br />- The roll was called which_ is recorded as follows: Councilmen <br />Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson, and Mayor Reid were present. Mr. <br />Eagar, City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Director <br />of Public Works, Mr. Patton, Director of Parks and Recreation, Mr. <br />McCloud, Police Chief, and Mr. Walker, Finance Officer, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br />Mr. Edgar reported that there were three amendments to the agenda. <br />1. Acceptance of Grant Deed for Levine Convalescent Hospital <br />on Third Street, Pleasanton. This will become part of the <br />Consent Calendar. <br /> <br />2. Under Public Hearings, regarding Study District E, it is <br />requested that the extension period be reduced from 90 days <br />to 30 days. <br /> <br />3. Mr. Edgar requested that the matter of rezoning certain <br />parcels in the Mackay subdivision be continued for two weeks <br />in order to review the Planning Consultant's marketing feasi- <br />bility report regarding the commercial and multiple development <br />in the Del Prado area. Mr. Edgar did report that he spoke to <br />Mr. McDonald by telephone regarding this postponement and <br />Mr. McDonald indicated that there wopld be several.m~mbers <br />in the audience wishing to address the Council regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br />Mr. McDonald was present and stated his objections to a <br />continuance on this matter. Mayor Reid explained that the <br />Council will wait until a complete staff report is available <br />before a determination is made regarding this. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />It was moved by Councilman Mori and seconded by Councilman Pearson <br />that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved: <br /> <br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for December 18, 1972. <br /> <br />b. Waive reading of Ordinance No. 687, approving application of the <br />Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton to place in -the <br />PUD District the following property: Parcel 1-1, Block 3295, <br />Assessor's Map Book 946, containing 2.70 acres, more or less, <br />said property more commonly known as Western Sierra. <br /> <br />c. Adoption of Ordinance No. 687. <br /> <br />d. Adoption of Resolution No. 73-1, approving Consent Agreement with <br />PG&E covering the development of Tract 3167. <br />
