MINUTES of THE MEETING of THE CITY COUNCIL January 8, 1973 CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG Mayor Robert Reid called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. ROLL CALL - The roll was called which_ is recorded as follows: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson, and Mayor Reid were present. Mr. Eagar, City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Director of Public Works, Mr. Patton, Director of Parks and Recreation, Mr. McCloud, Police Chief, and Mr. Walker, Finance Officer, were present. AGENDA AMENDMENTS Mr. Edgar reported that there were three amendments to the agenda. 1. Acceptance of Grant Deed for Levine Convalescent Hospital on Third Street, Pleasanton. This will become part of the Consent Calendar. 2. Under Public Hearings, regarding Study District E, it is requested that the extension period be reduced from 90 days to 30 days. 3. Mr. Edgar requested that the matter of rezoning certain parcels in the Mackay subdivision be continued for two weeks in order to review the Planning Consultant's marketing feasi- bility report regarding the commercial and multiple development in the Del Prado area. Mr. Edgar did report that he spoke to Mr. McDonald by telephone regarding this postponement and Mr. McDonald indicated that there wopld be several.m~mbers in the audience wishing to address the Council regarding this matter. Mr. McDonald was present and stated his objections to a continuance on this matter. Mayor Reid explained that the Council will wait until a complete staff report is available before a determination is made regarding this. CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Councilman Mori and seconded by Councilman Pearson that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved: a. Approval of City Council Minutes for December 18, 1972. b. Waive reading of Ordinance No. 687, approving application of the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton to place in -the PUD District the following property: Parcel 1-1, Block 3295, Assessor's Map Book 946, containing 2.70 acres, more or less, said property more commonly known as Western Sierra. c. Adoption of Ordinance No. 687. d. Adoption of Resolution No. 73-1, approving Consent Agreement with PG&E covering the development of Tract 3167.
