<br /> Mayor Robert Pearson called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council
<br /> to order at 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Alllegiance to the flag.

<br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll. which is recorded as follows:
<br />Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson were present. Mr. Edgar,
<br />City Manager, Mr. Scheid~g~ City Attorney, Mr, C~pbell, Assistant City Manager/
<br />Director' of Public Works, Mr. Sooby, Di'~ecltor of Engineering Services, and Mr.
<br />Walker, Assistant teTM the City Manager, were present.

<br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS
<br /> Mayor Pearson requested that Item 9c I.~ R. eport~ Re; Request of Pleasanton Swim
<br />Club, be considezed a~ter the Consent Calendar.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Edgar requested tha~ item 9e - Report, Re~ Award of Bid on Ray Street, be
<br />continued one week for £urther study.

<br /> CONSENT CALENDAR
<br /> It was moved by Councilman Mori, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that the
<br />following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved.

<br /> a. Approval of City Council Minutes for September 24, 1973.

<br />B. Acceptance of Grant Deed from Interstate Industrial Uniform Rental Service,
<br /> inc., for Public ~ervice Easemen~

<br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER
<br /> Repor~uest of Pleasanton Swim Club
<br /> Mr. Edgar presented the report o£ the Park and Recreation Commission regarding
<br />uhis matter, stating that the Pleasanton Swim Club's request for use of the Amador
<br />Aquatic Center' from October 7 to November 30 and again from January 8 to March 22,
<br />1974, has been denied by the Park and Recreation Commission, by their Resolution
<br />No. 73-27. However, it was recommended that the Swim Club negotiate with the High
<br />f~chooi ~or mere satisfactory time~ ~'f negotiations fail with the High School, the
<br />Swim Club should re[~urn ~o the Commission with a definite proposal on funds they
<br />could allocate £or [he additional utility costs.

<br /> Mr., Herb Antone, 7779 Forsythia Court, representing the Pleasanton Swim Club,
<br />stated thelE Club needs ~inancial assistance until such time as they could become
<br />sel~-supporting. He listed the advantages of the Aquatic Center Pool over the
<br />use o~ the High SChool pool~ He presented a letter from Andrew Moohey, President
<br />~f ~he P!e~santon Swim Club, dated September 30, 1973, listing ~he financial status
<br />c~ ~he. Swim Club and also fund raising projects planned to raise additional money.

<br /> ~lrs. Ann LaRue, Treasure~ of the Pleasanton Swim Club, presented the Treasurer's
<br />'reFoxrt of the Club.
<br />
<br /> After Council discussion, it was moved by Councilman Reid, and seconded by
<br />Councilman Mori, to support the decision of the Park and Recreation Commission, in
<br />denying the request o~ the Pleasanton Swim Club to use the Squatic Center during
<br />the Winter months.
<br /> The roll call vote was as follows:
