43 <br /> <br /> Councilman Kinney stated the Quarry Committee would be discussing E1 Charro <br />Road completion at their October meeting. <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> Councilman Herlihy read a letter from CAGE regarding Kaiser Dump, and request- <br />ing that the City Council reaffirm their position on this matter. <br /> <br /> Councilman Herlihy requested that a representative of Garden State Paper <br />Company, Pomona, be contacted to make a presentation to the City Council regard- <br />ing reclaiming newspapers. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pearson requested that with regard to the Spheres of Influence to be <br />heard by LAFCo next week, the City should reaffirm their position on this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Reid, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, instructing <br />the staff to communicate the City Council position with regard to the Spheres of <br />Influence boundary between Livermore and Pleasanton, to the LAFC. <br />File roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilman Mori expressed his concern regarding the dangerous on-ramp at 1-580 <br />toward Tracy from Foothill Road, and requested action be taken to investigate this <br />~ntersection. <br /> <br /> Mrl~ Campbell stated he would be conducting a tour of the physical facilities <br />ol the City in the near future. The Council concurred that a Saturday morning <br />would be the most convenient time for such a tour. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> No one addressed the Chair. <br /> <br />ADjOURN~4ENT <br /> There being no further business at 10:35 P.M., it was moved by Councilman Reid, <br />and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that the meeting be adjourned to meet again in <br />Adjourned ReRular Session at 8:00 P.M., on October 1, 1973. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSEN~T: None <br /> <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br /> <br />Wf[L I'~j~ .
