Councilman Reid requested that a letter be sent to the new liquor store owner <br />regarding his compliance with the sign ordinance. <br /> <br /> Council discussion ensued regarding the status of enforcing the sign ordinance <br />in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and the Central Business District Com- <br />mittee. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> No one addressed the Chair. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />Pending Litigation and Community Concerns Committee Appointment <br /> <br /> Mayor Pearson recessed the meeting to an Executive Session at 9:40 P.M. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pearson reconvened the meeting at 10:00 P.M. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Reid, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that <br />Resolution No. 73-152, commending the City Attorney, Kenneth C. Scheidig, for his <br />outstanding performance with the City, placing him on permanent status, and <br />authorizing a 5% increase in salary effective September 17, 1973, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business at 10:05 P.M., it was moved by Councilman Mori, <br />and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that the meeting be adjourned to meet again in <br />Regular Session at 8:00 P.M., on September 24, 1973. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br /> <br />WILLIAM H.
