Mr. Francis Headley, 1640 Orchard Way, addressed the Council with regard to <br />Genemia Pools and Stella Beratlis application for rezoning, stating he thought a <br />decision on this by the Board of Supervisors should be delayed until after com- <br />pletion of the General Plan Review. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Reid, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that the <br />City Attorney be authorized to seek a temporary restraining order and permanent <br />injunction against Geremia Pools from conducting anillegal contractor's storage <br />yard at 10 W. Angels Street. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Further RepOrts Re: Meetin~ with Legislators <br /> Mr. Scheidig presented his report regarding this matter, listing various <br />items to be discussed with the Legislators, and requested finalization of plans <br />for the Councilmen who were going to Sacramento and the agenda items to be dis- <br />cussed. <br /> <br /> The Council requested this matter be placed on the agenda of August 20, 1973, <br />for final details. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br /> There were no Communications presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> There were no City Council Committee Reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> Councilman Herlihy read a letter from Senator John V. Tunnay, regarding the <br />National Land Use Policy and Planning Assistance Act, and requested this item be <br />placed on the agenda next week for discussion regarding a City Council position <br />on this matter. <br /> <br /> Councilman Herlihy reminded the Councilmen of the Board of Supervisors hearing <br />on the Kaiser Dump, Thursday, August 16th, and stated that busses would be available <br />for Pleasanton residents to attend this hearing. <br /> <br /> Councilman Herlihy stated that the Council should consider Spheres of Influence <br />and make our needs known to the LAFC. Mr. Scheidig advised him that the LAFC was <br />considering Livermore boundaries at this time and would consider Pleasanton later. <br />Mr. Scheidig further advised Council of the discussions pertaining to Livermore's <br />Spheres of Influence by LAFCo at its last meeting. Council requested that the <br />Executive Director's report be transmitted to them. <br /> <br /> Councilman Herlihyinquired as to the status of building permits issued to <br />Pleasanton Greens in light of the financial problems related to the builder. Mr. <br />Edgar advised him that all nec4ssary City approvals had been obtained and that <br />the building permit which has been issued will be activated at such time as the <br />Federal Government grants final approval for the loan. <br /> <br /> Councilman Reid commented that no service stations were open on weekends for <br />anyone needing gas. This matter was referred to the Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br /> Councilman Mori inquired as to whether or not the Council should reaffirm its <br />position regarding the Kaiser Dump. The Council concurred that no further input <br />was necessary since this position was stated at the last meeting of the Board of <br />Supervisors, but that a member of the Council should be present at the August 16th <br />meeting. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> No one addressed the Chair. <br /> <br /> 7, 8/13/73 <br /> <br /> <br />
