Specific Applications foF Septic Tanks <br /> This item was continued to the meeting of August 20, 1973. <br /> <br />Report~ Re: Reassessment of Personnel Reduction Schedule - Buildin~.Inspe.ction <br />Division <br /> Mr. Miller presented the staff report regarding this matter, stating that due <br />to the heavier workload in the Building Inspection Division than anticipated, it <br />is recommended that this Division be staffed as it is now through the remainder of <br />this Calendar Year. <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mr. Edgar presented a report regarding Traffic Engineering Practices for <br />Smaller Municipality, and recommended this be referred to the Traffic Committee <br />for review and recommendation. <br /> <br /> Mr!. Edgar presented a memorandum from the Director of Engineering Services <br />regarding bike lane construction on First Street near Vineyard Avenue. <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar presented a memorandum from the Police Chief regarding curfew en- <br />forcement, which is done on a minimum basis. <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar presented a letter from V.C.S.D., transmitting conditional concep- <br />tual approval of a Stage 3 expansion to the District Sewage Treatment Plant. <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar presented a commendation from the Traffic Committee to Officer <br />Gary Lewis for his outstanding contribution to the Traffic Safety Program con- <br />ducted in the schools. The Council and staff also commended Ken Lamb for his <br />participation in this regard. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />Reportt Re: Cenfirma.tion of Costs for Abatement of Weeds for 1973 <br /> Mr. Scheidig presented the staff report regarding this matter, stating that <br />the cost of removal of weeds which had not been abated by homeowners on a volun- <br />tary basis would be added by the Treasurer-Tax Collector to the next regular tax <br />bill for each parcel. <br /> <br /> Mayor' Pearson declared the public hearing on this matter open. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke on this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that <br />the public hearing be closed. <br />The roll cal] vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Reid <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Mori, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that <br />Resolution No~ 73-130, confirming costs for abatement of weeds for 1973, be <br />adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlthy, Kinney, Mori, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Reid <br /> <br /> 4. 8/6/73 <br /> <br /> <br />
