CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilman Mori reported on a trip to Santa Cruz sponsored by the Chamber of <br /> Commerce to look at some refurbishing projects in the downtown as well as resi- <br /> dential, and stated he returned impressed as to the initiative of private citizens <br /> and the Chamber of Commerce in Santa Cruz, and would encourage our City in this <br /> direction. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pearson reports on a Sewer Committee meeting with V.C.S,D~ regarding <br /> negotiations, stating that ground rules had been adopted and meetings scheduled <br /> regularly until such time as negotiations are completed. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pearson also reported on a BASSA meeting that followed the Sewer Com- <br /> mittee meeting. <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> Councilman Herlihy stated that the Valley Planning Committee intended to hold <br /> a Fall Seminar, and suggested that BASSA be included. <br /> <br /> Councilman Herlihy requested that a letter be transmitted to the Alameda County <br /> Planning Commission supporting the application of V.C.S.D. regarding the use of <br /> their 22 acre parcel of property acquired from the Federal Government for Youth <br /> Sports Park. <br /> <br /> Councilman Herlihy reminded the Council of the East Bay Regional Park District <br />meeting at the Justice Court, July 17th, to study the Master Park Plan. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pearson requested that the Beratlis application for storage yard on <br /> Santa Rita Road be placed on next week's agenda for study by the Council. <br /> <br /> Councilman Herlihy requested a report on the status of E1 Charro Road. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> No one addressed the Chair. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Mayor Pearson recessed the meeting to an Executive Session at 11:00 P.M., to <br />discuss pending litigation. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pearson reconvened the meeting at 11:15 <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business at 11:17 P.M., it was moved by Councilman Kinney, <br />and seconded by Councilman Reid, that the meeting be adjourned to meet again in <br />Adjourned Regular Session at 8:30 P.M., on July 23, 1973. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br /> <br />WILLIAM H.
