<br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG
<br /> Mayor Robert Pearson called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at
<br /> 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.
<br />
<br /> ROLL CALL
<br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows:
<br />Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson were present~ Mr. Edgar,
<br />City Manager, Mr. Scheidig, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Assistant City Manager/
<br />Director of Public Works, Mr. Harris, Senior Planner, Mr. Sooby, Director of
<br />Engineering Services, and Mr. Eaton, Director of Field Services, were present.
<br />
<br /> AGENDAAMENDMENTS
<br /> Councilman Reid requested that Item c, Approval of Contract, Re: Animal Control
<br /> Shelter Service, be removed from the Consent Calendar for discussion.
<br />
<br /> CONSENT CALENDAR
<br /> It was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that the
<br /> following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved as amended:
<br />
<br /> a. Approval of City Council Minutes for July 9, 1973.
<br />
<br />b. Adoption of Resolution No. 73-118, approving Claims for the month of June,
<br /> 1973, in the amount of $712,920.80.
<br />
<br />d. Adoption of Resolution No. 73-119, approving Progress Payment No. 11, to
<br /> Precomp Tanks, Inc., for work completed during the month of June, 1973, Bonds
<br /> Reservoir, Project 72-4, in the amount of $937.10.
<br />
<br />e. Adoption of Resolution No. 73-120, approving Progress Payment No. 2, to Lopez
<br /> Landscape Contractors, for work on Loma Alta Park, in the amount of $5,759.99.
<br />
<br />fo Adoption of Resolution No. 73-121, acceptance of Public Improvements, Tract
<br /> 3327, Vintage Hills, Unit 9.
<br />
<br />The roll call vote was as follows:

<br />c. Approy~l...of Co~.traCt! Re: Animal Control Shelter Service
<br /> Councilman Reid inquired about who is charged when an animal is taken to the
<br />Shelter. Mr. Scheidig advised that the owner of the animal is charged, and if the
<br />owner cannot be located the City pays the fee. Councilman Reid requested that the
<br />animal fee schedule be made a part of the Contract.
<br />
<br /> Councilman Herlihy requested that a provision be included in the Contract re-
<br />quiring special accounting of funds collected on behalf of the City of Pleasanton.
<br />
<br /> It was moved by Councilman Reid, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that the
<br />Contract regarding Animal Control Shelter Service be approved, and authorizing
<br />execution of the Contract.
