MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> July 9, 1973 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Robert Pearson called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council <br /> to order at 8:00 PoM., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br /> Councilmen Herlihy, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson were present° Councilman Kinney <br /> was absent~ Mro Edgar, City Manager, Mr.~ Scheidig, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, <br /> Assistant City Manager/Director of Public Works, Mr. Sooby, Director of Engineering <br /> Services, and Mro Eaton, Director of Field Services, were present. <br /> <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mro Edgar requested that an item be added to the Consent Calendar, Approval of <br /> Grant Deed and Right-of-Way Contract for Santa Rite Road Widening at Corrie Property, <br /> which the Council authorized for cendemnation June 4, 1973, but which has now been <br /> deeded to the City at no cost to the City thus condemnation proceedings are no longer <br /> necessary° <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilman Mori, and seconded by Councilman Reid, that the fol- <br /> lowing items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved as amended: <br /> <br /> at Approval of City Council Minutes for June 29, 1973, and July 2, 1973. <br /> <br />boApproval of Grant Deed and Right-of-Way Contract for Santa Rita Road Widening <br /> at Corrie Property. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kinney <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> There were no public hearings scheduled for this meeting° <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> There were no matters continued for decision at this meeting. <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> There were no Special Reports scheduled for this meeting° <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> There were no reports of Boards and Commissions scheduled for this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />~eport of the CityManager~ Re: Parking of Buses on Rose Avenue <br /> Mr. Edgar stated that the problem of parking buses on Rose Avenue during the <br />Fair had been resolved with the Fairgrounds, and he presented a letter that had <br />been transmitted to Mrs. John Do Sanders, 859 Rose Avenue, advising her of this <br />solution, <br /> <br />Approval of Plans and Specifications~ Sewer Lines on Civic Center Site~ and <br />Authorization to advertise for bids <br /> Mr. Sooby presented the staff report and displayed plans regarding this matter <br />and stated that the construction of this 15" sanitary sewer line across the civic <br />center site is necessary because the existing line is falling apart due to age and <br />replacement has nothing to do with the construction of the proposed interim City <br />cffices~ <br /> <br /> <br />
