REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br /> Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mr. Edgar presented his report on Summer Youth Employment listing names of those <br /> hired for the Summer Maintenance Program and the Recreation Summer Playground staff. <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar presented his report regarding the recently implemented Bicycle Licens- <br /> ing Program. <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar presented a notice from Nat Bates, President of the East Bay Division, <br /> League of California Cities, stating that any resolutions that the Councilmen desire <br /> to have considered must be submitted prior to July 13, 1973. <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar presented his report regarding selection of a Vice-Chairman for the <br /> Community Concerns Committee, and recommended that Dave Shepherd be appointed Vice- <br /> Chairman of this Committee in accordance with the Committee's By-laws. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Reid, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that Resolu- <br />tion No. 73-116, appointing Dave Shepherd as Vice-Chairman of the Community Concerns <br />Committee, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kinney <br /> <br />REPORT OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />Introduction of an interim ordinance and adoption as an urgency measure establishing <br />~. Study District for certain properties pursuant to GC 65858 <br /> Mr. Scheidig presented his report regarding interim ordinance to establish zoning <br />districts for properties in the Mission Park and Qualified Investment area and stated <br />that since the studies on these areas had not been completed it would be in order to <br />continue the properties in a Study District, and it was necessary for the Council to <br />adopt an interim ordinance pursuant to Section 65858 of the Government Code. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Mori, and seconded by Councilman Reid, that Ordinance <br />No. 698, an interim ordinance amending by Zoning Unit Maps 133 and 134 the zoning <br />maps of the City of Pleasanton and rezontng certain properties within the City of <br />Pleasanton from RM-1500, RM-2500 and RM-4000 (multi-family districts), R1-6500 (single <br />family district) and A (agricultural district) to S (Study District) and amending the <br />Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton accordingly (Mission Park and Qualified <br />Investment areas), be read by title only and waive further reading thereof, and be <br />adopted as an urgency measure to take effect immediately. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kinney <br /> <br />Approval of Proposed ASreement with Auditor <br /> Mr. Scheidig presented the report of the City Manager regarding this matter, <br />stating that the City of Pleasanton has never had a formal agreement for Auditing <br />Services, that for the past several years Maisell, Bray and Burke had performed <br />this service through informal agreements, and that it is now in order to approve <br />a formal agreement between the Auditor and the City. <br /> <br /> Councilman Reid requested that this Agreement be reviewed on an annual basis <br />as a policy matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Reid, and seconded by Councilman Mori, authorizing <br />execution of Agreement between City of Pleasanton and Bray and Burke for the per- <br />formance of Auditing Services for the City of Pleasanton. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kinney <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br /> There were no communications presented at this meeting. <br /> <br /> 2. 7/2/73 <br /> <br /> <br />
