It was me, red by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Mori, authorizing <br />the City staff to schedule City Council interviews with the three firms listed above <br />for final selection in order to complete the economic element of the Preliminary <br />General Plan,~ <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Her!ihy, Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br />Mr. Edgar presented a memorandum from the Chief Building Inspector regarding set- <br />backs of Singer houses on Inglewood Drive, stating there were no violations. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> There were reports of the City Attorney presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />Letter £rom General Plan Review Committee~ Re: Improvements at FairSrounds and E1 <br />Charro Road <br /> Mro Edgar presented a letter from the General Plan Review Committee, dated <br />November 15, 1973, regarding improvements at the Fairgrounds and E1 Charro Road. <br />Mr~ Edga~ was instructed to notify the Committee that the City Council had re- <br />cently taken action adopting a procedure for the review of improvements on the <br />Fairgrounds, and that E1 Charro Road is under study by the Rock, Sand and Gravel <br />Commit~ee~ <br /> <br />Letter f~om General Plan Review Committee~ Re: Study Session coverins the State <br />Mandated Elements <br /> Mro Edgar presented a letter from the General Plan Review Committee requesting <br />a study session regarding the State mandated elements. It was the consensus of <br />the City Council that a study session at this time would be premature, pending <br />receipt of the economic element of the General Plan. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilman Mcri reported on a meeting of the Rock, Sand and Gravel Committee, <br />at which time E1 Charro Road was discussed. He stated the County advised this <br />Ro~d would net be completed for approximately 25 years so other alternatives are <br />being studied to relieve the gravel traffic problem. Council.man Reid requested <br />that the Truck Ordinance be reviewed regarding E1 Charro Road. <br /> <br /> Councilman Kinney reported on the Valley Planning Committee meeting of December <br />13, 1973, stating they evaluated participation in the Valley-wide Committee on Air <br />Quali~y~ The City staff was instructed to advertise for anyone interested in serv- <br />ing on ~hi~ newly established committee by the City of Livermore. <br /> <br /> Councilman Kinney stated that the Valley Planning Committee also discussed the <br />feasibrility of a Valley Transit District. <br /> <br /> Councilman Mor~ indicated at the Gravel Committee meeting that the question of <br />reclamation pllans for the gravel pits was discussed. <br /> <br /> Mayer Pearson stated that the slate of candidates selected for the BASSA seat <br />from ~he V~llley were Councilman Ed Kinney, Pleasanton, Councilman Archer Futch, <br />Live~ncre, and Ron Hyde, V~C.S.D~ Director. <br /> <br /> ~ was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Councilman Mori, to support <br /> the slate of candidates as presented by the Mayor. <br /> The roll call vote was as ~ollows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> There were no matters initiated by Council Members at this meeting. <br /> <br /> MEETiNG OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> No one addressed the Chair. <br /> <br /> 4. 12/17/73 <br /> <br /> <br />
