<br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG
<br /> Mayor Robert Pearson called t~e Regular Meeting of the City Council
<br /> to order at 8:30 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.
<br />
<br /> ROLL CALL
<br /> Due to the absence of Deputy Clerk Doris George, Pat Flowers called
<br />the roll which is recorded as follows: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori,
<br />Reid, and Mayor Pearson were present. Mr. Edgar, City Manger, Mr.
<br />Scheidig, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Assistant City Manager/Director
<br />of Public Works, Mr. Sooby, Director of Engineering Services, Mr. McCloud,
<br />Chief of Police, Mr. Walker and Mr. Miller, Assistants to the City Manager,
<br />were present.

<br />CONSENT CALENDAR
<br /> It was moved by Councilman Mori and seconded by Councilman Herlihy

<br /> that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved:
<br />
<br /> a. Approval of City Council Minutes for November 12, 1973.
<br />
<br />b. Adoption of Resolution No. 73-175, approving claims, Review of
<br /> Financial Reports, October, 1973.
<br />
<br />c. Adoption of Resolution No. 73-176, approving Progress Payment No. 1,
<br /> to Maxdon Construction Co. for work performed on Walnut Grove Park,
<br /> Phase 1.
<br />
<br />d. Approval of Modification of Agreement, Fire Protection Services.
<br />
<br />e. Adoption of Resolution No. 73-177, approving Progress Payment No. 1,
<br /> to Oliver de Silva, Inc., for work performed during October on
<br /> Project 73-6, Santa Rita Road and Hopyard Road Overlay Project.
<br />
<br />The roll call vote was as follows:

<br /> Mayor Pearson declared the public hearing open.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Scheidig explained that it would be appropriate for the City
<br />Council to introduce an ordinance amending the Ordinance Code pertaining
<br />to political signs.
<br />
<br /> No one in the a~dience spoke in favor or in opposition to this
<br />matter. The public hearing was then closed.
<br />
<br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney and seconded by Councilman Reid,
<br />that the public hearing be closed.
