119 <br /> <br /> Councilman Reid, Chairman of the Solid Waste Advisory Committee, stated that <br /> this Committee had transmitted a letter to all of the cities and Jurisdictions in <br /> the County requesting submittal of new applications for solid waste disposal plans <br /> or projects for their review. He requested and received approval from the City <br /> Council regarding the City's current plans to consider the possibility of con- <br /> structing a transfer station on Vineyard Avenue. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pearson reported on the Mayors' Conference of November 7, 1973, and read <br />--- a portion of the Minutes of the hearing by the Public Utilities Commission regard- <br /> ing the energy crisis. He requested that the matter of Christmas lighting be dis- <br /> cussed soon° <br /> <br /> MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> There were no matters initiated by Cnuncil Members at this meeting. <br /> <br /> MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Mro Don Scheer, 7200 Johnson Industrial Drive, representing Clorox, addressed <br /> the Council expressing his concern regarding the franchise agreement on holding <br /> tanks, and the increased cost to his company if they were subject to this ordinance. <br /> <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Mayor Pearson recessed the meeting to an Executive Session at 11:20 P.M. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pearson reconvened the meeting at 11:32 P.M. <br /> <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business at 11:33 PoM., it was moved by Councilman Reid, <br /> and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that the meeting be adjourned to meet again in <br /> Adjourned Regula~ Session at 8:00 P.M., on November 19, 1973. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Respectfully Submitted, <br /> <br /> 6. 11/12/73 <br /> <br /> <br />
