<br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG
<br /> Mayor Floyd Mori called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at
<br /> 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.
<br />
<br /> ROLL CALL
<br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as f~i]ows:

<br /> of Housing and Community Development, Mr. Harris, Director of Planning, Mr. Sooby,
<br /> Director of Engineering Services, Mr. Eaton, Director of Field Services, Mr. Miller
<br /> and Mr. Walker~ Assistants to the City Manager, were present.

<br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS
<br /> Mr. Edgar stated that Brad Hirst would like to make a presentation to the City
<br /> Council after the Consent Calendar.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Edgar requested that item 4e - Adoption of Ordinance No. 728 relating to
<br /> Uniform Building Code, be deleted from the agenda for public hearing on July 8,
<br /> 1974.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Edgar requested that item 9d - Report, Re: Cultural Arts Building Finan-
<br /> cing, be continued to June 24, 1974.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Edgar stated that he had been requested to move item 9e - Report, Re:
<br /> Kequested exemption ~rom Restricted Growth Policy - Longview, to be heard after'
<br /> the presentation by Brad Hirst.

<br /> CONSENT CALENDAR
<br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that
<br /> the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved as amended:
<br />
<br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for May 29, 1974, and June 3, 1974.
<br />
<br />b. Adoption of Resolution No. 74-125, approving Claims for the month of May,
<br /> 1974, in the amount of $405,836.94.
<br />
<br /> Adoption of Resolution No. 74-126, approving progress payment to Leo Mc-
<br /> Donald Const. Co., for work completed on Bernal Avenue Improvements, in
<br /> the amount of $21,357.72, and authorization to file Notice of Completien.
<br />
<br />d. Adoption of Ordinance No. 726, approving application of John and William
<br /> Busch/DeVor Nurseries, Inco, to prezone from A (Agricultural as defined by
<br /> the Zoning Code of the County of Alameda) to A (Agricultural as defined by
<br /> the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton) 25.4 acres of land located
<br /> immediately south of Mohr Avenue and immediately east of the Southern
<br /> Pacific Railroad tracks.
<br />
<br />e. Delete from the agenda to be heard at public hearing on July 8, 1974,
<br /> Adoption of Ordinance No. 728, adopting the 1973 Edition of the Uniform
<br /> Building Code as published by the International Conference of Building
<br /> Officials, the 1973 Edition of the Uniform Mechanical Code as published
<br /> by the International Conference of Building Officials and the inter-
<br /> national Association of Plumbing and Mechanical OfficialS, and the 1973
<br /> Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code published by the International
<br /> Association of Mechanical and Plumbing Officials by reference together
<br /> with certain changes, fixing penalties for violation and amending the
<br /> Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton accordingly.
