He further stated that only minor changes had <br />been made which he explained. He added that the tax rate would not be established <br />until August. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor or in opposition to this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that <br />Resolution No. 74-97, approving the 1974/75 Budget for the City of Pleasanton, be <br />adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Phil~ox, <br /> and Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />~epoz't~ ~e: Happy Valle.~ Water Line <br /> Mr. Bowling presented the staff report dated May 8, 1974, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Charles E~ Wilson, 686 Happy Valley Road, representing Alisal Improvement Club, <br />displayed a map of the Happy Valley area and express this group's concern regarding <br />pollution of existing wells if more septic tanks are allowed due to additional <br />development in this area and urged denial of the proposed water line extension. <br /> <br /> O!. M. Barlow, 6723 Alisal Street, stated he felt the problem is water and no~ <br />septic tanks~ <br /> <br /> Mrs~ Gwen Ward, 982 Sycamore, stated she felt the problem of pollution would <br />be increased if additional septic tanks were allowed, and she urged denial of the <br />proposed water line extension. <br /> <br /> Judge William Gale, 62 W. Neal Street, representing the applicant Tim Cosetti, <br />presented background information regarding this property, and urged approval of this <br />application for watez' line extension. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Council- <br />man Kinney, to deny the application of Tim Cosetti for extension of water line ta <br />Happy Valley property, and that staff cooperate with any requests for annexation <br />from Happy Valley residents. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, <br /> and Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 5. 5/13/74 <br /> <br /> <br />
