He elaborated on three <br />variations of sidewalks for this project. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilwoman LeClaire, approv- <br />ing plans and specifications for Bernal Avenue Improvements and authorization to call <br />for bids, with two alternatives for sidewalks (Exposed Aggregate Concrete and Bomanite) <br />to be included in the bid as well as standard sidewalk. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, <br /> and Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> There were no Special Reports scheduled for this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> There were no reports of Boards and Commissions scheduled for this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Report, Re: History of th~.V~ley Planning Committee <br /> Mr. Miller presented the staff report, dated March 28, 1974, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> After discussion, Mayor Mori requested Councilman Herlihy to present a written <br />proposal at the meeting of April 8, 1974, for Council action regarding future struc- <br />ture of the Valley Planning Committee. <br /> <br />Report~ Re: Preliminary Budget for1974/75 <br /> Mr~ Edgar stated this matter had been discussed earlier in Study Session, and <br />recommended a public hearing date be set regarding this item. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori declared the public hearing on the Preliminary Budget for 1974-75, be <br />scheduled for April 8, 1974, to be held after 8:00 P.M., in the Justice Court, 30 <br />West Angels Street, Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mr~ Edgar presented Minutes of the Mayors' Conference of March 6, 1974. <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar presented Community Concerns Committee agenda and minutes. <br /> <br /> Mro Edgar presented a letter from BART, dated March 26, 1974, regarding Express <br />Bus Service~ Mayor Mori requested that Councilman Herlihy and Councilwoman Le- <br />Claire schedule a meeting with Bill Hein of BART, to discuss this matter in more <br />detail° <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar presented a letter from the City of Pleasanton and V.C.S,D., to the <br />Regional Water Quality Control Board regarding conceptual approval of financing <br />arrangements of Sewage Treatment Plant,phase-out. <br /> <br /> Mr0 Edgar presented a letter from the City of Albany, dated March 26, 1974, <br />regarding Air Pollution. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> There were no report of the City Attorney presented at this meeting. <br /> <br /> 2. 4/1/74 <br /> <br /> <br />
