Hearing of objec,tions by Rro__ep~_r~wners to the Rropo~ed removal. and abatement of <br /> nuisance caused by noxious or dan~e[ous _w.e_eds-ro~f2_u_p_en__.pr in front of property <br /> owned by them in the City of Pleasanton <br /> Mr. Scheidig presented his report regarding this matter, stating that this is the <br /> time for the City Council to hear and consider objectio,s~ if any, by property owners <br /> to the proposed removal and abatement of nuisance caused by noxious or dangerous weeds <br /> growing upon or in front of property owned by [hem in the City of Pleasantono <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> Mro Harold Wo Gregerson, 7703 Highland Oaks Drive, addressed the City Council <br /> regarding his property at 4943 Foothill Road. Staff was directed to contact Mro <br /> Gregerson and work out a solution° <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that the <br /> public hearing be closed. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy~ Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox and <br /> Mayor Mort <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney~ and seconded by Councilwoman LeClaire that <br />Resolution Noo 74-39 after hearing no objections by property owners to the proposed <br />removal and abatement of weeds, City Council authorizes the City staff to proceed <br />with the weed abatement program for 1974, be adopted. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows~ <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox and <br /> Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Set Public Hearin~ Re~ Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity regarding <br />Taxi Service <br /> T~ public hearing regarding this matter is scheduled for April 1, 1974, 8:00 <br />P.Mo, at the Pleasanton Justice Court. <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> There were no Special Reports scheduled for thi~ meeting~ <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br />Report of the Plannin~ Commtssion~ Re~ Development Plan and Revitalization Program <br />for the Central Business District <br /> Mro Edgar stated this matter had been continued from the meeting of February 25, <br />1974, and this study was the result of the Central Business District Committee and <br />staff° <br /> <br /> Mro Harris presented the report and displayed map explaining the proposed re- <br />vitalization of the Central Business District, and requested City Council to direct <br />staff in the implementation of the Plan, <br /> <br /> Mr. Bill Hirst, Chairman of the Central Business District Committee, publicly <br />thanked the members of his committee and the Pleasanton Junior Women's Club for <br />their donation. <br /> <br /> The City Council commended the Central Business District Committee on ~heir <br />outstanding efforts on this report~ <br /> <br /> !t was moved by Counciiman Phitcox, and seconded by Councilwoman LoCiairs, to <br />accept and approve the report of the Central Business District Committee entitled <br />"A Development Plan and Revicalization Program for the Central Business District of <br />Pleasanton"o <br /> <br /> 3. 3/18~74 <br /> <br /> <br />
