255 <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Legislation <br /> Mro Scheidig presented his report regarding this matter° He stated that SB-1340 <br /> (Moscone) would clear up legislation for disclosure of assets and conflict of interest. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Mori, and seconded by Mayor Pearson, to support <br /> SB-1340 (Moscone), and authorize the City Attorney to prepare a telegram to be sent <br /> to the Governor over the Mayor's signature indicating this support. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br /> NOES: Councilman Kinney <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mr. Scheidig stated that AB-325 (Powers), Professional Services - Competitive <br /> Bidding for Professional Services, is legislation which would require public <br /> agencies to obtain three bids from qualified firms before an architectural or <br /> engineering services contract is authorized. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Councilman Mori, that the <br /> City Council go on record in opposition to AB-325 (Powers) and authorizing the <br /> City Attorney to take appropriate action in this regard. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> COMMUNICATIONS <br /> There were no Communications presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />.... CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilman Herlihy reported on the Valley Planning Committee meeting of February <br /> 14, 1974, stating that the present Committee has ceased to be effective but there is <br /> need for some sort of Planning Committee in which to function and express the views <br /> of Valley planning, and suggested that Pleasanton City Council consider this matter <br /> after the Election. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pearson reported on the ABAG General Assembly meeting on February 21, 1974, <br /> at which time the budget was adopted and the energy crisis discussed. <br /> <br /> MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> There were no matters initiated by Council members. <br /> <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business at 10:30 P.M., it was moved by Councilman Reid, <br /> and seconded by Councilman Mori, that the meeting be adjourned to meet again in <br /> Adjourned Regular Session at 8:00 P.M., ohM arch 4, 1974. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Respectfully Submitted, <br /> <br /> WILLIAM H. ~DGAR,qCITY CLERK <br /> <br /> 5. 2/25/74 <br /> <br /> <br />
