Councilman Mori stated that the Department of Transportation is interested in <br /> proposals for ca~lpools, and suggested this matter be referred to the Community <br /> Concerns Committee for review and recommendation of use of available funding for <br /> carpool activities° The Council concurred. <br /> <br /> Councilman Mori commented that he had heard many good things regarding the <br />"Good Times" Parade to be held ohMarch 23, 1974. He stated the publicity <br />throughout the Bay Area by KNBR and Frank Dill was outstanding in creating a <br />good image of the City of Pleasanton and all that it stands for. He commended <br />Councilman Kinney on his efforts in this regard. <br /> <br /> Councilman Mori stated he had heard comments that the Pleasanton City Council <br />was a part-time Council. He listed various and numerous meetings besides City <br />Council meetings that are artended each week by Councilmen, and requested to go <br />on record that the Pleasanton City Council is a full-time Council, spending long <br />hours to effectively carry out the responsibilities of the City and community. <br /> <br /> Councilman Kinney stated that the Chamber of Commerce had unanimously voted <br />to support the "Good Times" Parade on March 23, 1974, and that the Jaycees had <br />unanimously voted to support the Parade in manpower° Councilman Kinney requested <br />this item be placed on the agenda next week with a report regarding costs to the <br />City and a proclamation in support of the Parade <br /> . <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> No one addressed the Chair° <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business at 9:00 P.M., it was moved by Councilman Reid, <br />and seconded by Councilman Mori, that the meeting be adjourned to meet again in <br />Regular Session at 8:00 PoM., on February 11, 1974. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pro Tem Herlihy <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Mayor Pearson <br /> <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br /> <br />WILLIAM Ho E~DGAR, ~T~ CLERK ' <br /> <br /> 4. 2/4/74 <br /> <br /> <br />
