MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> February 4, 1974 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Pro Tem William Herlihy called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City <br /> Council to order at 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag~ <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br /> Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, and Reid were present. Mayor Pearson was absent. <br /> Mr. Edgar, City Manager, Mr. Scheidig, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Assistant City <br /> Manager/Director of Public Works, and Mr. Sooby, Director of Engineering Services, <br /> were present. <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilman Reid, and seconded by Councilman Mori, that the <br /> following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved| <br /> <br />f-) a. Approval of City Council Minutes for January 28, 1974. <br /> <br /> b. Adoption of Ordinance No. 720, adding Article 3 to Chapter 9 (Water), Title <br /> II (Zoning and Development) of the Ordinance Code of the City of PleaSanton <br /> relating to Well Standards. <br /> <br /> c. Adoption of Resolution No. 74-18, for approval of Easement Agreement with <br /> Southern Pacific, Re: Water Line for Kie-Con in Kaiser Industriel Park. <br /> <br /> d. Adoption of Resolution No. 74-19, approving final Progress Payment in the <br /> amount of $3,780.00, to Maxdon Construction Co., for work completed on <br /> Walnut Grove Park, and authorization to file Notice of CompletiOn. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pro Tem Herlihy <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Mayor Pearson <br /> <br /> MARCH OF DIMES PRESENTATION <br /> Mr. Chris Beratlis, Pleasanton Community Chairman of the March of Dimes, stated <br /> that on Saturday, March 16, 1974, the Alameda County March of Dimes is having its <br /> second Walk-A-Thon in the Pleasanton-Dublin-Livermore area. He requested the <br /> Pleasanton City Council to participate in this event, and also to proclaim March <br /> 16, 1974, as March-of-Dimes Week in Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Reid, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, to proclaim <br /> March 16, 1974, as Alameda County March of Dimes Week in Pleasanton. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pro Tem Merlihy <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Mayor Pearson <br /> <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> Application of the .City Council to de-energize street lights in Valley Trails~ Val <br /> yista~ and Hop~ard Road Area <br /> This item was continued to the meeting of February 11, 1974, for full Council <br /> attendance. <br /> <br /> MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> There were no matters continued for decision scheduled for this meeting. <br /> <br /> SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> There were no Special Reports scheduled for presentation at this meeting. <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> There were no reports of Boards and Commissions scheduled for this meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
