Councilman Herlihy requested staff to ask approval of the Fair Board to use <br />one of their vacant parking lots at the Fairgrounds for aplace to park cars on a <br />commuter pool basis. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pearson requested that an item be placed on next week's agenda regarding <br />bicycle trails and also reduction of speed limits~ <br /> <br /> Councilman Reid asked staff to see if a Joing application with Federal Govern- <br />ment for BART Rail Extension might be expedited. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pearson inquired as to the status of the BART Bus System. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> No one addressed the Chair. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Mayor Pearson recessed the meeting to an Executive Session at 10:00 P.M. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pearson reconvened the meeting at 11:00 P.M. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Reid, and seconded by Councilman Mori, that Resolu- <br />tion No. 74-5, authorizing the construction of new digester at the Sunol Boulevard <br />Plant without the necessity of bid due to the threat to the public safety from <br />existing digester, and authorizing these certain improvements not to exceed <br />$100,000.00 to the Sunol Plant, be adopted° <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business at 11:03 P.M., it was moved by Councilman Mori, <br />and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that the meeting be adjourned to meet again in <br />Regular Session at 8:00 P.M., on January 14, 1974. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Reid, and Mayor Pearson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br /> <br />WILLIAM H~ EDGAR, CITY CLERK <br /> <br /> 1/7/74 <br /> <br /> <br />
