Councilman Herlihy reported on the Fair Liaison meeting at which time traffic hazards on Bernal Avenue were discussed as well as Master Contract with City for services~ Councilwoman LeClaire reported on a Transportation Seminar Workshop in Oak- land that she and Jim Walker artended. She also reported on the BART Ceremony she participated in this date. Councilman Philcox reported on the ~0~ meeting, and stated that at the December meeting there would be a presentation made by the County on the Ridge- land General Plan and Trail System. Mayor Mori reported on the L.A.V.W.M.A. Meeting of 11-20-74. He stated there would be a workshop on December 12th from 5:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS Councilman Philcox expressed concern regarding the dangerous traffic situa- tion in the area of the Carnation Restaurant. After discussion, it was moved by Councilwoman LeClatre, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that Resolution No. 74-235, amending the traffic resolution to eliminate parking on Hopyard Road, in the area of the Carnation Restaurant, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, and Mayor Mori NOES: None ABSENT: None Councilman Herlihy requested a tour of the Youth Sports Park to look at the Soccer Fields. Mayor Mori requested staff to contact BART regarding provision of shelters at bus stops to protect riders from weather. Mayor Mori requested staff to investigate the possibility and feasibility of using undeveloped park land for gardens by the residents of the City. Council determined the Council Meetings during December would be held on December 9th and 16th. Councilman Phitcox commended Mayor Mori and Councilwoman LeClaire for their fine presentations at the M.T.C. meeting on November 18, 1974. MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC No one addressed the Chair. EXECUTIVE SESSION: Pending Liti~at.~on~ Ap.pointments Mayor Mori recessed the meeting to an Executive Session at 10:55 P.M. Mayor Mori reconvened the meeting at 11:15 P.M. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business at 11:17 P.M., it was moved by Councilwoman LeClaire, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that the meeting be adjourned to meet again in Adjourned Regular Session.at 8:00 P.M., on December 2, 1974.
