Amador Valley High School to place banner under Pleasanton Main Street <br /> sign endorsing Proposition E <br /> Mr. Edgar stated that a request had been received from Amador High School for <br /> permission to hang a banner beneath the PleasantonMain Street sign endorsing <br /> Proposition E on the November 5th Ballot. <br /> <br /> Miss Debbie Bridgman, representing Amador High School, stated they were aware <br /> and would comply with all conditions set forth for hanging a banner on the Main <br /> Street sign. <br /> <br /> Discussion ensued regarding political signs, and it was determined that the <br /> wording on the banner should not endorse Proposition E but could remind people to <br /> vote on Proposition E on November 5th~ <br /> <br /> - It was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Councilwoman LeClaire to <br /> approve the request from Amador Valley High School to place a banner beneath the <br /> Pleasanton Main Street sign endorsing Proposition E. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilwoman LeClaire, and seconded by Councilman Philcox, to <br /> amend the former motion to approve the hanging of the banner but the wording on <br /> the banner should simply announce Proposition E on the Ballot rather than endorse <br /> it (suggested wording - Vote November 5 on Proposition E), and the hanging of the <br /> banner to comply with conditions as set forth by the Director of Engineering <br /> Services. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilman Herlihy, Councilwoman LeClaire, and Councilman Philcox <br /> NOES: Councilman Kinney and Mayor Mori <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilman Kinney and Mayor Mori emphasized they were not opposed to Proposi- <br /> tion E, but were against the hanging of any banner beneath the Pleasanton Main <br /> Street sign. <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> There were no reports of Boards and Commissions presented at this meeting. <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br /> Report~ Re: Amendments to Traffic Resolution <br />..... Mr. Sooby presented the staff report dated October 23, 1974, regarding this <br /> matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that <br /> Resolution No~ 74-211, amending Traffic Resolution No. 74-26, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1.
