Mr. Harris presented the staff report, dated October 14, 1974, regarding this matter. Mayor Mori declared the public hearing open. No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to this item. Mayor Mori declared the public hearing closed. Council discussed uses in the C-S District and non-conforming uses, and requested additional information regarding this matter. Mayor Mori declared the public hearing be reopened and continued to the meeting of October 30, 1974, 8:00 P.M., at the Pleasanton Justice Court. Mr. Sooby presented a plan showing where trees are to be removed, and the r.e- placement of trees on a two to one basis. Mayor Mori declared the public hearing open. It was moved by Councilwoman LeClaire, and seconded by Councilman Philcox, that Resolution No. 74-189, approving request of the Director of Housing and Community Development for authorization to remove two Heritage Trees from the proposed Peters Avenue Parking Local Improvement District as follows: (1) 24-inch Plum T~ee located adjacent to existing driveway to IOOF Parking Lot; and (2) 24-inch English Walnut Tree located behind Christensen's Store, however, the trees are not to be removed until development of the restaurant or parking lot, be adopted. Brunsell, of SturgiS,'ben-Duik, Douglass and Anderson, presented proposal to form an assessment district for parking purposes, known as Peters Avenue Park- ing Local Improvement District. Mr. Scheidig presented a letter received from John Corley, representing Wallace Mayer Consultant firm, requesting to be excluded from the parking district until such time as they had need of additional parking space, since they had sufficient parking at the present time. Mr. Scheidig recommended that staff be allowed to review this matter and prepare a report for Council review with recommendations regarding alternatives. 2. 10/14/74
