It was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that Resolution Noo 74-185, declaring that the City of Pleasanton is providing fire protection services within its Jurisdiction and requesting exemption by the Board of Supervisors pursuant to Government Code Section 25643 of costs for providing fire protection services in any fire district, including the City of Pleasanton, within its boundaries, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, and Mayor.Mort NOES: None ABSENT: None Amendment to Article 11~ Chapter 1~ .~i. tle II of the Ordinance Code relating to Council Review of Tentative Map~ Mr. Scheidig presented his report dated September 18, 1974, regarding this matter, stating that in order to allow the City Council to review tentative maps on its own motion, it is recommended that the Council adopt an ordinance allowing for such review. It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilwoman LeClaire, that Ordinance No. 742, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, amending Article ll (Modification and Appeal), Chapter 1 (Subdivision), Title II (Zoning and Development), of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton relating to Council review of tentative subdivision maps, be introduced. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, and Mayor Mori NOES: None ABSENT: None COMMUNICATIONS There were no Communications presented at this meeting. CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS Councilwoman LeClatre stated she had received correspondence from ABAG regard- ing proposals of Job training and employment relative to ACTEB, and recommended support of this matter. It was moved by Councilwoman LeClaire, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that the City of Pleasanton generally support the Education and Training Act funding as proposed by ABAG Clearing House relative to ACTEB. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, and Mayor Mori NOES: None ABSENT: None MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS There were no matters initiated by Council Members presented at this meeting. EXECUTIVE SESSION: Appointments Mayor Mori recessed the meeting to an Executive Session at 11:55 P.M. Mayor Mori reconvened the meeting at 12:25 A.M.
