SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> Votin~ Representatives at League Conference - October 20-23~ 1974 <br /> Mr. Edgar presented his report dated September 19, 1974, regarding this matter, <br /> stating that the normal procedure which the City has employed in the past has been <br /> to designate the Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem as the voting delegate and voting alter- <br /> nate respectively. <br /> <br /> Councilman Kinney stated he would be unable to attend this Conference. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Philcox, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that <br /> Mayor Floyd Mori be designated the Voting Delegate for the City of Pleasanton at <br /> the League of California Cities Annual Conference in Los Angeles, October 20-23, <br /> 1974, and that Councilwoman Joyce LeClaire be designated as Voting Alternate. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, <br /> and Mayor Mori <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Report~ Re: Feasibility and Support of Consultant for CAGE re~ardin~ Kaiser Dump <br /> hearin~ at State <br /> Councilman Kinney reported that Water Resources Engineers of Walnut Creek had <br /> been contacted regarding analyzing the technical data and making a presentation <br /> when the State Water Resources Control Board reviews Kaiser's reclamation project <br /> in October or November. He stated the cost would be a maximum of $3,000.00, and <br /> requested the City of Pleasanton to subsidize that portion which CAGE could not <br /> pay and also to solicit the other ~alley agencies to participate in the cost of <br /> this presentation. <br /> <br /> Mrs~ Jo Harding, 540 East Angela, representing CAGE, stated she felt it was <br /> important for Pleasanton to have this analysis completed as there had been <br /> serious inadequacies in the proposals previously presented, and urged financial <br /> support of the presentation. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Councilman Kinney, that <br />Resolution No. 74-184, approving execution of a contract for Water Resources <br />Engineers, Walnut Creek, to analyze technical data and make a presentation when <br />the State Water Resources Control Board reviews Kaiser~s reclamation project, at <br />a cost not to exceed $3,000.00, the City to subsidize the amount that CAGE does <br />not have funds for, and authorizing the City Manager to contact the other Valley <br />agencies to participate in this cost, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, <br /> and Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> There were no reports of Boards and Commissions presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Approval of Plans and Specifica. tions~ and authorization to ~o to bid on Sto Mary <br />Street Water Line <br /> Mr. Sooby presented the staff report dated September 17, 1974, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by.
