bIATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> AdJtion of Resolution Reaffirmin~ C~i~X Council, Position Re~ Kaiser DumE_f~~ <br /> Mr~ Schetd~g presented his report. dated August 20, ].974. regarding this matter~ <br /> stating that the City Council, at the joint meeting wi~h CAGE on August 12, 197~, <br /> requested tlhac a cesolution be prepared regarding opposition to the Kaiser dump <br /> proposal~ <br /> <br /> 'i~ was moved by Councilwoman LeC!ai~e, and seconded by Councihnan Kinney, that <br /> Resolution No~ 74-163, reiterating and reaffirming the opposition of the City of <br /> Pleasanton City Council to the establishment, operation and maintenance of a solid <br /> waste landfill operation on Kaiser Sand and Gravel Company land adjacent to the <br /> City l,imits of the City of Pleasanton, be adopted~ <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilman Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, and <br /> Mayor Mori <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSE~F: Co~lnctlman Herlihy <br /> <br /> SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> Presentatio n~L~R~:JFo_ject 4 <br /> Mr. Nail Miller, representing Federal Youth Center, presented the program for <br />this .instito~,lion and requested support o~ the City Council and residents of the <br />City of Pleasanton by volunteer groups to augment the program in order to provide <br />more programs and tools for inmate resocializationo <br /> <br /> After discussion, Mayor Mori requested the City Attorney to draft a resolu- <br />tion in support of Project 4, to be reviewed at the meetlag of September 16, 1974, <br />and suggested that the Community Concerns Committee be involved in this program~ <br /> <br />R_~ort of the Robert H;, Gran~ Cor~ R_~e: Amberwo_~ od~.~Ele~.a_~san~to~_~n~Tra~cts 3471 an~d <br /> 3298 <br /> Mr'~ Rick Hirsch. 'representing Robert H~ Grant Corporation, s~ated this firm <br />owns approximately 70 acres on Santa R~ta Road, comprised of a proposed 209 lot <br />development plus a school site, and they are unable to start construction on <br />Phase I and r'enew tentative map for Phase I[I because of the sewer problem.
