Regarding the definition of "Peddlers, Solicitors, and Transient Merchants",
<br />it was moved by Councilwoman LeClaire, and seconded by Councilman Philcox, that
<br />Ordinance Noo 737, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof,
<br />amending Article 1 (Solicitors and Certain Businesses), Chapter 2 (Special Per-
<br />mits), Title IV (Health, Safety, Moral and General Welfare), of the Ordinance
<br />Code of the City of Pleasanton, relating to definitions of Peddler, Solicitor,
<br />and Transient Merchant, be introduced.

<br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
<br /> Mrs. Dee Phillips, 5559 San Juan Way, representing several residents from the
<br />Mission Park area, addressed the Council regarding odor from the sewage treatment
<br />'plant, and requested that steps be taken immediately to correct the situation.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Campbell reviewed some of the problems that the City has had and what is
<br />being done to alleviate the condition.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Chuck Seymour, 492 San Gabriel Court, spoke regarding additional seyer
<br />hook-ups and problems associated with odor, and requested City Council not to
<br />allow further connections to the Plant until the odor problem is solved.
<br />
<br /> Mayor Mori stated the Council and staff are doing everything in their power
<br />to alleviate this problem in working with the Regional State and Federal agencies.
<br />He requested Mr. Seymour to schedule a meeting between Mission Park homeowners
<br />and City staff in an attempt to explain the entire sewer situation.
