Application of the Planning Commission of the. Martin Avenue and its northern and southern exten- <br />sions <br /> Mr. Edgar explained that prezoning land outside the City Limits is important <br />because it retains this zoning when annexed to the City, it specifically indicates <br />to the property owner within the City what the zoning will be when annexed, it in- <br />dicates to the County that the City wants and intends to be involved in the planning <br />process within its planning area and wants to indicate something specific about <br />zoning in the area, and to indicate to the Local Agency Formation Commission areas <br />deemed to be within our Sphere of Influence and that we are serious about deter- <br />mining land use and also be involved in the planning process. <br /> <br /> Mr. Harris presented the staff report, dated August 8, 1974, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> Mr. Roy Robertson, 3568 Vine Street, asked about specific boundary lines on this <br />application in proximity to his residence, and had no objections after seeing a map <br />of the area. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilman Philcox, and seconded by Councilman <br />Kinney, to refer the application to prezone Sand and Gravel Properties back to the <br />Planning Commission to exclude the Thorpe Property and to include the Busch Property <br />in the prezoning boundaries. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilman Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, and <br /> Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Herlihy <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> There were no matters continued for decision scheduled for this meeting. <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> There were no special reports scheduled for this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> There were no reports of Boards and Commissions scheduled for this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Report~ Re: Reimbursement Agreemen~ ~th J. A.
