MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> July 22, 1974 <br /> <br /> COMMENDATIONS <br /> Councilman Kinney, on behalf of the City Council, presented an Award to Amador <br /> High School Baseball Team for their 1974 Championship~ Don Bush accepted the Award. <br /> <br /> Councilwoman LeClaire, on behalf of the City Council, presented an Award to <br /> Diane Dunbar for her outstanding achievement in gymnastics. <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Floyd Mori called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br /> 8:00 PoMp, and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br /> Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, and Mayor Mori were present. <br /> Councilman Philcox was absent. Mr. Edgar, City Manager, Mr. Scheidig, City Attorney, <br /> Mr. Campbell, Assistant City Manager/Director of Public Works, Mr. Bowling, Directer <br /> of Housing and Community Development, Mr~ Harris, Director of Planning, Mr. Sooby, <br /> Director of Engineering Services, Mr. Miller and Mr. Walker, Assistants to the City <br /> Manager, were present. <br /> <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Edgar requested the following agenda amendments: <br /> <br />1. Remove item 4j - Progress Payment No. 1, to Munkdale Bros., Inc., for work <br /> completed on Pleasanton Sports and Recreation Park, Phase 1. <br />2. Remove item lla - Letter from Ottis L. Walker, Re: Improvements to Public <br /> Easement-Longview. <br />3. Add to item 16 - Pending Litigation. <br />4. Add as item 4i - Acceptance of two Grant Deeds and one Easement Deed from <br /> Souza~ <br />5. Add as item 10b(1) - Authorization to go to Bid for construction of Pond in <br /> field necessary to retain effluent. <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Councilwoman LeClaire, that <br /> the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved as amended, and the <br /> agenda as amended: <br /> <br /> Approval of City Council Minutes for July 8, 9, and 15, 1974~ <br /> <br /> Adoption of Ordinance No. 730, amending Sections 2-6.02 and 2-6.03 of Article 4 <br /> (Agricultural District), Section 2-7.08 of Article 8 (C-Commercial Districts) <br /> and Section 2-7.21(1) of Article 9 (I-Industrial Districts), Chapter 2 (Zoning), <br /> Title II (Zoning and Development), of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasa~ <br /> ton relating to wood sales, administrative offices and saddleries as permitted <br /> or conditionally permitted uses. <br /> <br />c. Adoption of Ordinance No. 731, rezoning from A (Agricultural) to 0 (Office) <br /> District an approx. 2.4 acre parcel of land located immediately west of Santa <br /> Rita Road and 310 feet south of Black Avenue, and amending the Ordinance Code <br /> and Zoning Map of the City of Pleasanton accordingly. <br /> <br />d, Approval of Agreement between City and Valley Bank for construction of improve- <br /> ments~ <br /> <br />e. Adoption of Resolution No. 74-152, endorsing 911 Project as discussed at Mayors' <br /> Conference~ <br /> <br /> <br />
