PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 728~ adoptin~ the 1973 Edition of the Uniform Building Code <br />as published by the International Conference of Buildin~ Officials, the 1973 Edition <br />of the Uniform Mechanical Code as published by. the International Conference of Build-' <br />in8 Officials and the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officialst <br />and the 1973 Edition of the Uniform Plumbin8 Code published by the International Asso- <br />ciation of Mechanical and Plumbin~ Officials by reference together with certain <br />cban~es~ fixing penalties for violation and amendin8 the Ordinance Code of the City <br />of Pleasanton accordingly <br /> Mr. Scheidig presented his report, dated July 5, 1974, regarding this matter, <br />stating that it is necessary for the City Council to adopt by reference the 1973 <br />Editions to the Uniform Building Code, Uniform Plumbing Code and Uniform Mechanical <br />Code, introduced on May 29, 1974. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Councilman Philcox, that <br />Ordinance No. 729, adopting the 1973 Edition of the Uniform Building Code, the <br />1973 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code and the 1973 Edition of the Uniform <br />Mechanical Code as published by the International Conference of Building Officials <br />and the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials by reference, <br />with certain changes, fixing penalities for violation and amending the Ordinance <br />Code of the City of Pleasanton accordingly, be adopted. <br />The *oll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilman Herlihy, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, and <br /> Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kinney <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Councilman Philcox, that <br />Resolution No. 74-147, finding that certain modifications and changes to the 1973 <br />Editions of the Uniform Building Code, Plumbing Code and Mechanical Code are <br />necessary to meet local conditions, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilman Herlihy, Councilwoman Letlairs, Councilman Philcox, and <br /> Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kinney <br /> <br />Application of the Plannin~ Commission to amend Sec.tiqg.2.-6.02~ Arti.c!e ~} Section <br />2-6.03.,. A~.ticle..4~ section 2-7.08, and..~ection 2-7.21(1.), Article 9, Chapter 2, <br />Title II of the Ordinance cR.d~ of t.h~.City ~ Pleasanton, to allow various uses <br />to be automatically and conditionally permitted in the A (Agricultural)s C-C <br />(Central Commercial)., C-S (co.mme[cia! se.rvice), and I-P (Industrial Park') Dis- <br />tricts <br /> Mr. Harris presented the staff report, dated July 2, 1974, regarding this matter, <br />stating that on several occasions during the past few months, the Planning Commission <br />has made determinations that additional land uses should be included as permitted and <br />conditionally permitted uses in various zoning districts, and that such determina- <br />tions require amendments Eo the Ordinance Code. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> 2. 7/8/74 <br /> <br /> <br />
