It was moved by Councilmember McLain, and seconded by Councilmember LeClaire, <br />that Resolution No. 75-121, confirming amended assessment amending Assessment No. <br />11, Assessment District No. 2, Pleasanton Township County Water District, Alameda <br />County, California, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> There were no matters continued for decision presented at th!s~'meetkng. <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br />Request of the Chamber of Commerce~ Re: Permission to attach temporary building <br />to existing Sewer Line and Waive Fees <br /> Mr. Campbell presented the staff report dated June 4, 1975, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Ben Fernandez, President of the Chamber of Commerce, requested approval <br />of the City staff recommendations. <br /> <br /> The following persons spoke in opposition to the waiving of fees: <br /> <br /> Mrs. Anna Martinsen, 4038 Payne Road <br /> Mrs. Birdie Btanchi, 4329 Railroad Avenue <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Herlihy, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Philcox, that Resolution No. 75-122, approving request of the <br />Chamber of Commerce to connect to the sewer system on a temporary basis, said <br />permit to expire coincidentally with the termination of the permit from the <br />Southern Pacific Company, and waiving all fees at this time for this use on <br />this site only, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney <br />NOES: Councilmember LeClaire <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Report of the Traffic Adyisory Safety Committee~ Re: Proposed Reorganization <br /> Mr. Bowling presented the staff report dated June 4, 1975, regarding this <br />matter, stating that a committee would not be appointed until after such time <br />as the grant has been received. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Philcox, and seconded by Councilmember McLain, <br />that Resolution No. 75-123, approving the recommendations of the Director of <br />Housing and Community Development in his report dated 3une 4, 1975, regarding <br />Traffic Advisory Committee, and approving formal application for a funding grant <br />to provide independent staff for this committee, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Report~ Re: Pro3ects to be included in Pleasanton's request pursuant to the <br />Safer Roads Demonstration Program <br /> Mr. Sooby presented the staff report dated June 4, 1975, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by Councilmember Herlihy, <br />that Resolution No. 75-124, approving the following projects to be included in the <br />Safer Roads Demonstration Program: (1) Modify existing storm water inlet grates <br />within street area to provide for bicycle safety~(2) Up-grade Railroad Advance <br />Warning Signs; (3) Up-grade street name signs to current City Standards; and (4) <br />Replace longitudinal ditch with pipe along north side of Bernal Avenue, and trans- <br />mit these projects to Alameda County for further processing, be adopted. <br /> <br /> 3. 6/9/75 <br /> <br /> <br />
