Report of the Planning Commission~ Re: Proposed. Post Office to be located on the <br />Southwest Corner of Black Avenue and Santa RitaRoad <br /> Mr. Edgar presented the report of the Director of Planning dated May 20, 1975, <br />regarding this matter, expressing the concern of the Design Review Board for the' <br />lack of parking space to be provided at this facility. <br /> <br /> Council concurred in this concern and instructed staff to notify the Post <br />Office Department of their feelings in this regard. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Report of the Assistant CitXMana~e.r~ Re: Good Times Parade <br /> Mr. Campbell presented the staff report dated May 21, 1975, regarding this <br />matter, which is informational only. <br /> <br /> Council instructed staff to investigate an ordinance regulating parades, and <br />report back on this matter. <br /> <br />Oral Review of Bids~ Award of Contracts ResUrfacin~ Main Street~ Project No. 75-1 <br /> Mr. Edgar presented the staff report dated May 27, 1975, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember McLain, and seconded by Councilmember LeClaire, <br />that Resolution No. 75-111, awarding contract to East Bay Excavating Company, in <br />the amount of $30,715.20, for Main Street Overlay, Project No. 75-1, and authoriz- <br />ing the proper City officials to execute the contract, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Report~ Re: Allocation of Connections to Sunol Treatment Plant <br />Mr. Walker presented the staff report dated May 21, 1975, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Harry Elliott, Jr., representing H. C. Elliott, Inc., requested that any <br />remaining sewer connections be allocated to his firm. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember McLain, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Herlihy, that Resolution No. 75-112, concerning the sewer connec- <br />tions that have not been purchased but for which the specified time has passed, <br />be handled as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. The remaining 6.08 D.U.E.'s not needed to connect the existing holding <br /> tanks to the sewer system should remain in reserve to be used for Com- <br /> mercial and Industrial development. <br /> <br /> 2. Four of the 36 D.U.E. sewer connection for multiple units should be <br /> converted to single family use as follows: <br /> <br /> 1 - Edward Inderbitzen <br /> 1 - Bud Duterte <br /> 1 - Ben Reffel <br /> 1 - M. Rodriquez <br /> <br />The remaining 32 D.U.E.'s should be held in reserve until receipt at the June 9, <br />1975, Council meeting of a recommendation from the Industrial Committee as to the <br />feasibility of using these connections for industrial development. <br /> <br />The time extension requested for single family lots be granted with similar condi- <br />tions as those applfed to the extension to Morrison Homes as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. The building permit fees that are normally deposited in the General Fund <br /> should be paid prior to June 20, 1975. This condition is required, since <br /> operating revenue projections for the current fiscal year assumed that <br /> the permits would be sold prior to the end of 1974-75. <br /> <br /> 2. The remaining fees, normally collected with the issuance of building <br /> permit fees, be paid prior to August 22, 1975. <br /> <br /> 4. 5/27/75 <br /> <br /> <br />
