3'57 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> April 28, 1975 <br /> <br />PRESENTATION BY BICENTENNIAL COMMITTEE <br /> Mr. Ken Mercer, Chairman of the Pleasanton Bicentennial Committee, presented <br />the City Council with a Pleasanton Bicentennial Poster and drawing of Century <br />House, which are available for purchase in the Bicentennial promotions. Mr. <br />Mercer introduced Mrs° Pam Brekas, the artist of the poster and individual draw- <br />ing. Mayor Kinney accepted the poster and picture and expressed appreciation on <br />behalf of the City Council and the City° <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Edward Kinney called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order <br />at 8:00 P.Mo, and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney were present. <br />Mro Edgar, City Manager, Mr. Campbell, Assistant City Manager/Director of Public <br />Works, Mro Bowling, Director of Housing and Community Development, Mr. Harris, <br />DireCtor of Planning, Mr. Sooby, Director of Engineering Services, and Mr. Walker, <br />Assistant to the City Manager, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDAAMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Edgar requested that two items be added to the agenda as follows: <br /> <br />1. Item 4g - Proclaim May 10, 1975, as Fire Service Recognition Day. <br /> <br />2. Item 9g - Request from Ftreman's Association to hang Banner on Main Street <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilwoman LeClaire, and seconded by Councilman McLain, <br />that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved, and the <br />agenda as amended: <br /> <br />ao Approval of City Council Minutes for April 14, 1975. <br /> <br />bo Adoption of Ordinance No. 759, rezoning from C-F (Commercial Freeway) District <br /> to C-S (Commercial Service) District a parcel of property approximately 9 acres <br /> in size, located at 3716 Stanley Boulevard, as shown on Zoning Unit Map No. 145, <br /> and amending the Zoning Map of the City of Pleasanton accordingly. <br /> <br />co Adoption of Resolution No. 75-85, approving Revised Standard Specifications and <br /> Standard Detail. <br /> <br />d.Proclaim May as ABWA Scholarship Month in Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Proclaim May as Anti-Litter Month in Pleasanton. <br /> <br />fo Adoption of Resolution No. 75-86, approving final payment to Steiny & Co., Inc., <br /> in the amount of $30,201.78, for completion of traffic signal projects at Hop- <br /> yard and Valley, and Hopyard at W. Las Positas, and authorization to file Notice <br /> of Completion. <br /> <br />g. Proclaim May 10, 1975, as Fire Service Recognition Day° <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> <br />
