REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />Report~ Re: SB-275 <br /> Mr, Scheidig presented the staff report dated April 7, 1975, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Council went on record in opposition to SB-275, and instructed the City Attorney <br /> to communicate with the appropriate Legislators. <br /> <br />Legislation <br /> Mr~ Scheidig advised the Council that the letters prepared regarding AB-700, <br />AB-416, AB-681, and SB-189 would be sent out as drafted unless there was Council <br />opposition. There was none. <br /> <br /> Mr, Scheidig presented Council with a copy of the agenda for Thursday's Legis- <br />lative meeting in Sacramento. Councilmembers Kinney, LeClaire and McLain indicated <br />they would attend. <br /> <br /> Mr. Scheidig inquired as to which members of Council would attend the Attorney <br />General's Land Use Conference in San Francisco on May 12 and 13. Councilmember <br />LeClaire indicated she would attend. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br /> There were no Communications presented at this'meeting. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilman Herlihy stated that he and Councilman McLain artended the COVA meeting <br />on April 10, 1975, and reported good progress of this Agency. <br /> <br /> Councilwoman LeClaire presented a progress report of the Bicentennial Committee. <br /> Mayor Kinney reported on the Mayors' Conference of April 2, 1975. <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> It was moved by Councilwoman LeClaire, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that <br />Resolution No. 75-84, supporting ABAG Planning Committee's report regarding the <br />proposed Las Positas New Town, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilman Herlihy requested staff to obtain a copy of Energy Use Standard for <br />Housing Element prepared by the City of Davis Planning Department. <br /> <br /> Councilman Herlihy asked if staff could discuss with School District the possible <br />cooperative use of warehouses at Camp Parks and vehicle maintenance. <br /> <br /> Mayor Kinney referred to an article in the Independent concerning Livermore's <br />position regarding a hospital in Pleasanton, and desired further information on <br />Livermore's position. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION: Pending Litigation <br /> <br /> Mayor Kinney recessed the meeting to an Executive Session at 12:25 A.M. <br /> <br /> Mayor Kinney reconvened the meeting at 12:30 A.M. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilwoman LeClaire, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, <br />authorizing the City Attorney to defend the City in suit filed by Dr. Howard Long. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 7. 4/14/75 <br /> <br /> <br />
