345 Mr. R. A. Bota, 2115 Raven Road, representing Pleasanton American Little League, spoke ~egarding finalization of the Youth Sports Park and the need for this facility. Mr, Darwin Clayton, 4202 Echo Court, representing Pleasanton American Little League, expressed the need for more Little League fields. Mro Ben Fernandez, President Chamber of Commerce, stated the Chamber passed a resolution encouraging the City of Pleasanton do everything possible to balance the Budget. This group expressed concern over police and fire protection as high priority items. Mr~ Jim McDermott, 5598 Corte Sonora, urged support and continuation of youth spo~ts activities in the City of Pleasanton. Mayor Kinney declared the public hearing closed. After discussion, it was moved by Councilman Herlihy, and seconded by Council- woman LeClaire, that Resolution No. 75-79, approving the following Capital Improve- ment Program: (1) Walnut Grove Park; (2) Cultural Arts Building; (3) Sports Park, Phase II; (4) Val Vista Park; (5) Hansen Park; (6) Bike Paths; (7) Deep Water Pool; (8) Remodel Housing Authority Office Pro-School; (9) Pave Parking Lot Pleasanton Elementary School; and (10) Windscreen Muirwood Tennis Court, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney NOES: None ABSENT: None Mayor Kinney recessed the meeting at 9:00 P.M.
