27i <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, <br /> and Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br /> Councilwoman LeClaire presented a petition she had received from residents of <br />Val Vista regarding mail delivery. Petitioners would be advised that City action <br />would be deferred pending decision in Grover City suit. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilman Philcox reported on the COVA meeting of January 23rd, and reminded <br />Council members to submit their ideas regarding study areas for COVA before the <br />February 10th meeting. <br /> <br /> Councilman Kinney reported on the Park and Recreation Commission meeting of <br />January 22nd, at which time the Bike Trail Plan was approved. <br /> <br /> Councilman Kinney reported that he had met with staff and officials of Little <br />Leagues regarding maintenance of the Little League fields. <br /> <br /> Councilwoman LeClaire reported on the Traffic Committee meeting of January <br />15th, at which time the traffic problem at Main and St. Mary's Street was dis- <br />cussed. No recommendation was made. Mayor Mori requested the matter of traffic <br />signal priorities be placed on the agenda for April 14th, for further review and <br />consideration. <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> Councilman Kinney stated the three Pleasanton Ballistic Soccer Teams had <br />competed in a Three-State Tournament in Las Vegas, and each team won in their <br />division. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that <br />Resolution No. 75-24, commending the three Ballistic Soccer Teams for their <br />victory at the Three-State Soccer Tournament in Las Vegas, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, <br /> and Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilwoman LeClaire stated she had received calls from concerned parents <br />rega~din~"the drug problem and requested investigation of this matter. It was <br />recom~,end~d that-this matter be referred to COVA. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION: Pending Litigation; Appointments <br /> Mayor Mori recessed the meeting to an Executive Session at 11:55 P.M. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori reconvened the meeting at 12:05 A.M. <br /> <br />Post Office Litigation <br /> It was moved by Councilwoman LeClaire, and seconded by Councilman Philcox, <br />authorizing the City Attorney to notify City of Santa Rosa that the City of <br />Pleasanton supports proposal for litigation by League of California Cities <br />against Post Office. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, <br /> and Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT c <br /> There being no further business at 12:10 A.M., it was moved by Councilman <br />Philcox, and seconded by Councilwoman LeClaire, that the meeting be adjourned <br />to meet again in Regular Session at 8:00 P.M., on February 10, 1975. <br /> <br /> 7. i/27/75 <br /> <br /> <br />
