255 REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY Report~ Re: Proposed Ordinance Amendin~ the City Ordinance Code to implement provisions of the State Public Resources Code~ Alquist.-Priolo Geologic Hazard Zones Act Mr. Edgar presented the report of the City Attorney dated January 8, 1975, regarding this matter, stating that in order to establish procedures for re- quiring geologic reports for structures for human occupancy within seismic zone areas and establish a procedure for the review of the same, it is necessary for the City Council to take three actions: (1) the introduction of an ordinance; (2) the adoption of the same ordinance as an urgency measure; and (3) adoption of an amendment to the fees and charges resolution. It was moved by Councilwoman LeClaire, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that Ordinance No. 751, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, adding Chapter 12 (Geologic Hazards) to Title II (Zoning and Develop- ment) of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton, relating to approval of structures for human occupancy or new real estate developments in Geologic Hazard Special Studies Zones, be introduced. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, and Mayor Mori NOES: None ABSENT: None It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that Ordinance No. 752, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, adding Chapter 12 (Geologic Hazards) to Title II (Zoning and Development) of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton, relating to approval of structures for human occupancy or new real estate developments in Geologic Hazard Special Studies Zones, be adopted as an urgency measure. CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS Councilman Herlihy reminded Council of the COVA General Assembly meeting to be held January 23, 1975, to discuss bicycle trails in the Valley, and ridgetop plans. Mayor Mori stated he would be serving with Supervisor Fred Cooper as Vice- Chairman on the Corrections Advisory Committee of the Alameda County Criminal Justice Planning Board to study goals and objectives in the area. 6. 1/13/75
