255 <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> Report~ Re: Proposed Ordinance Amendin~ the City Ordinance Code to implement <br /> provisions of the State Public Resources Code~ Alquist.-Priolo Geologic Hazard <br /> Zones Act <br /> Mr. Edgar presented the report of the City Attorney dated January 8, 1975, <br /> regarding this matter, stating that in order to establish procedures for re- <br /> quiring geologic reports for structures for human occupancy within seismic zone <br /> areas and establish a procedure for the review of the same, it is necessary for <br /> the City Council to take three actions: (1) the introduction of an ordinance; <br /> (2) the adoption of the same ordinance as an urgency measure; and (3) adoption <br /> of an amendment to the fees and charges resolution. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilwoman LeClaire, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, <br /> that Ordinance No. 751, to be read by title only and waiving further reading <br /> thereof, adding Chapter 12 (Geologic Hazards) to Title II (Zoning and Develop- <br /> ment) of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton, relating to approval of <br /> structures for human occupancy or new real estate developments in Geologic <br /> Hazard Special Studies Zones, be introduced. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, <br /> and Mayor Mori <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kinney, and seconded by Councilman Herlihy, that <br /> Ordinance No. 752, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, <br /> adding Chapter 12 (Geologic Hazards) to Title II (Zoning and Development) of the <br /> Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton, relating to approval of structures for <br /> human occupancy or new real estate developments in Geologic Hazard Special Studies <br /> Zones, be adopted as an urgency measure. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, <br /> and Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilwoman LeClaire, and seconded by Councilman Philcox, <br />that Resolution No. 75-11, amending Section 2 (Housing and Community Development), <br />Subsection (a) (Building Inspection Division) of Resolution No. 74-138 (a reso. <br />lution establish fees and charges for various municipal services of the City of <br />Pleasanton and repealing Resolution Nos. 73-23, 73-95, 73-112, 73-126, 73-101) <br />establishing fees for Geologic Reports, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Councilwoman LeClaire, Councilman Philcox, <br /> and Mayor Mori <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Report of the Director of Plannin~ ~e: Senate Bill No. 10 - Surface Minin~ <br />Operation <br /> This item was removed from the agenda. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br /> There were no Communications presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilman Herlihy reminded Council of the COVA General Assembly meeting <br />to be held January 23, 1975, to discuss bicycle trails in the Valley, and <br />ridgetop plans. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mori stated he would be serving with Supervisor Fred Cooper as Vice- <br />Chairman on the Corrections Advisory Committee of the Alameda County Criminal <br />Justice Planning Board to study goals and objectives in the area. <br /> <br /> 6. 1/13/75 <br /> <br /> <br />
