Council requested the Mayor send him <br />a letter of commendation~ <br /> <br /> Mr~ Edgar presented his report dated December 15, 1975, regarding City Attorney <br />Office Space~ After discussion, Co~nc~ll concurred with the City Manager's report <br />and instructted staff tc proceed with necessary modifications to the Justice Court <br />pending execution of the lease agreement in January. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />Report~ ..Re: Froposed Amendments to Water Connection Fee Ordinance and Sewer <br />Connection Fee Ordinance <br /> Mr. Scheidig presented the report of the Assistant City Manager dated November <br />26, 1975, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by <br />Councilmember McLain, that Ordinance No. 775, to be read by title only and waiving <br />further reading thereof, amending in its entirety Article 2 (Water Connection Fees), <br />Chapter 9 (Water), Title II (Zoning and Development) of the Municipal Code of the <br />City of Pleasanton, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers LeClaire, McLain, and Mayor Kinney <br />NOES: Councilmembers Herlihy and Philcox <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Modification to Agreement between CitX. and Eount~ Relating t.~ Improvements on <br />Foothill Road <br /> Mr. Scheidig presented his report dated December 15, 1975, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember McLain, and seconded by Councilmember Philcox, <br />that Resolution No. 75-262, approving modification to Agreement between City of <br />Pleasanton and County of Alameda relating to improvements on Foothill Road, be <br />adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />Request o.f Lee J. Ama~al~ Re: Annexation of five (5) acre parcel on Vineyard Avenue <br /> Mr. Edgar presented letter from Lee J. Amaral, dated December 3, 1975, regarding <br />annexation of a five (5) acre parcel of property on the north side of Vineyard Avenue, <br />adjacent to the eastern boundary of the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> The City Council authorized staff to proceed with the annexation and requested <br />that when this matter is brought back to t~e Council that Council be advised of the <br />potential plans for development of the property. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmembers presented various Committee ~leports for the information of the <br />Council. <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> Councilmember LeClaire requested that the surplus funds which apparently are <br />remaining in the Pleasanton Redevelopment Agency account be used to hire crossing <br />guards at the various locations throughout the City where needed. Council dis- <br />cussion ensued regarding the pros and cons of additional crossing guards. <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar explained the criteria necessary to justify the establishment of <br />crossing guards, stating that although the ~unding was not the critical problem, <br />the criteria for the establishment of crossing guards could not be met. <br /> <br /> Councilmember LeClaire requested this matter be placed on a future agenda for <br />further study and review. <br /> <br /> 3. 12/15/75 <br /> <br /> <br />
