247 <br /> <br />Report, Re: City/County Road Pro3ects - Foothill Road at Stoneridge <br /> Mr. Sooby presented this report to the city Council for its <br />information only. <br /> <br />Approval of Plans and Specifications; Authorization to go to Bid; <br />Re: I~nprovement of Hansen Park <br /> Mr. Sooby presented hi~ report on this matter, explaining that <br />this project is being financed with Proposition 1 funds. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Philcox and <br />seconded by Councilmember Herlihy, that Resolution No. 75-24~., <br />authorizing the staff to call for bids for Hansen Park Tot Lot and <br />Picnic Area, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and <br /> Mayor Kinney <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Report, Re: Award of Bids for certain replacement vehicles Mr. Edgar presented his report on this' ~atter. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Herlihy, and <br />seconded by Councilmember McLain, that Resolution No. 75-25Q, authorizing <br />the purchase of 8 vehicles as per recommendations in the staff report <br />dated November 18, 1975, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and <br /> Mayor Kinney <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Re ort Re: Proposed Further Reorganization of Field Service Department <br />re~ated to the ~0'vernment Buildings ' <br /> M~. Edgar presented Mr. Campbell's report on this matter. It is <br />the intention to inventory all gevernment buildings, set forth a schedule <br />and report back in a six month period, with a determination of the <br />best way to supervise the maintenance of the City 's government buildings. <br />The Maintenance Man-Carpenter would spend his full time in this project <br />during this six month period. Minor carpenter work will still be ac- <br />complished, but major projects will not be carried during this time. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember McLain, and seconded by Council- <br />member LeClaire, that Resolution No. 75-252, authorizing the upgrading <br />of the position of Maintenance Man-Carpenter to include the responsi- <br />bilities outlined in the staff report prepared on this matter, <br />be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox and <br /> Mayor Kinney <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mr. Edgar announced that the m~Sel of the new line of BART com- <br />muter buses will be located in the Civic Center parking lot for viewing <br />from 2 to 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar also stated that a report regarding the History and <br />Background of the Alameda County Fairgrounds, prepared by the County, <br />has been submitted for the Council's information. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />RepOrt, Re: Claims relating' to Grafco Service Station, 707 Main <br />Street <br />Mr. Scheidig presented his report regarding this matter and re- <br />commended that claims for damages pertaining to this matter be denied. <br /> <br /> = 7. 11-24-75 <br /> <br /> <br />
